RESOLUTION 65-187 APPROVING *~P AND DECLARING <br />INTENTION TO VACATE A POR:£ION OF CHES~ AVENUE <br />WEST OF GRAND AVENUE AND GIVING NOTICE OF HEARING <br />THEREON <br /> <br /> ~EREAS, a request for the ~acation of certain right of way <br />on the north side of Chestnut Avenue, west of Grand Avenue, herein <br />described, has been received by the City and the Department of <br />Public Works and the Planning Commission have recommended that a <br />public hearing be set on the question of said vacation. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby <br />adopts the map attached hereto and orders the same filed with the <br />original of this Resolution in the office of the Clerk of the Council <br />and reference is hereby made to said map for the exterior boundaries <br />of said right of way proposed to be vacated. <br /> <br /> The City Council hereby declares its intention to proceed with <br />this vacation under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941 <br />(~8300 through 58374 of the California Streets and Highways Code) to <br />vacate that portion of Chestnut Avenue, west of Grand Avenue, in the <br />City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described <br />as: <br /> <br />That portion of Chestnut Avenue as described in a deed to the <br />City of Santa Ana, recorded March 14, 1890, in Book 4, page 2S4 <br />of Deeds, Records of Orange County, California, included within <br />the following described parcel: <br /> <br />Beginning at the intersection of the Westerly line of the land <br />described in a deed to Gulf Oil Corporation recorded October 1, <br />1964, in Book 7242, page 22, of Official Records, with a line <br />parallel with and distant Southwesterly 10.00 feet from the <br />Southwesterly line of Grand Avenue, as described in a deed to the <br />City of Santa Ana recorded October 27, 1953, in Book 2602, page 194, <br />of Official Records; thence South 32° 30' 15" East along said <br />parallel line 194.47 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve <br />concave Southwesterly having a radius of 550.00 feet; thence <br />Southeasterly along said curve, through a central angle of <br />21° 26' 04", an arc distance of 205.76 feet to the beginning of <br />a compound curve concave Northwesterly having a radius of 25.00 <br />feet; thence leaving said parallel line, Southwesterly along said <br />curve through a central angle of 100° 58' 36", an arc distance of <br />44.06 feet to a tangent line, being parallel with and distant <br />Northerly 41.00 feet from the monumented center line of Chestnut <br />Avenue, as shown on a map filed in Book 75, Page 15, of Record <br />of Surveys in the Office of the County Recorder of Orange County, <br />California; thence South 89° 54' 25" West along said parallel line, <br />160.31 feet to said Westerl~ line of the land of Gulf Oil <br />Corporation; thence North 0 39' 15" East along said Westerly line <br />384.04 feet to the point of beginning <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: 'l~nat January 3, 1966, at the hour of <br />7:30 P.M. in the Council Cham~ers, City Hall, 'iS~ird and Main Streets, <br />Santa Ana, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for <br />hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said ~xoposed street <br />vacation. <br /> <br /> The Clerk of the Council is hereby ordered to publish this <br />Resolution once in The Register, and the Director of Public Works is <br />ordered to post notices of street vacation conspicuously along the <br />line of said street stating the passage of this Resolution of <br /> <br /> <br />
