259 ORDINANCE NO. 942. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 658 AND AMENDMENTS THERET0~ PERTAINING TO CARNIVALS, TENT SHOWS~ ETC. The City Council of the City of Santa Aha do ordain as follows: Section 1. That Section 37 of Ordinance No. 658 as amended by Section 6 of Ordinance No. 710 is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 37. For every person, firm, corporation or association owning, maintaining, conducting or ~resenting a carnival, tent.show, or show in the open air~ or in a hall or building not specifically constructed for theatrical purposes, wherein vaudeville, comic, dramatic or operatic productions or performances are given, or motion pictures shown or exhibited as an independent business, and not as a part of any other business or entertainment, the license fee shall be the sum of One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150.00) p~r day, payable in advance. Nothing in this section con- tained shall be deemed or construed to authorize the holder of any license provided for in this section to conduct, maintain or carry on any other business in connection with such carnival, exhibition or show, without first obtaining a license so to do as in this ordinance provided, in the event that a license to conduct, maintain or carry on any such business is required under the provisions of this ordinance." Section 2. That all ordinances or p~rts of ordinances in conflict herewith are to that extent hereby repealed. Section 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinanc and cause the same to be published three times in the Santa Aha Daily R~ening Register~ a daily newspaper published and circulated in the City of Santa Aha, and the same shall take effect and be in force thirty (30) days from the date of final passage.
