Said election shall be held and conducted in accordance with the <br />laws regulating general municipal elections in cities of the fifth class, and with the <br />general election laws of the State of California, so far as the same may be applicable <br />thereto. The polls shall be opened at six o~clock A.M. on the day of said election an~ <br />shall be kept open until seven o~clock P.M. of said day, at which t~me the polls shall <br />be closed. <br /> <br /> Section 5. Notice of said election, containing a statement of the time of <br />said election and of the names of the offices to be filled thereat, propositions to be <br />voted on, if any, and briefly a general description of the voting precincts and location <br />of the polling places, and of the time of the opening and closing of the polls shall be <br />given by the City Clerk, by one publication in the Santa Aha Daily Evening Register, a <br />daily newspaper published and circulated in sa~d City of Santa Aha, not earlier than the <br />sixtieth day, or later than the twentieth day before said election. <br /> <br />Section 6. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be published a list of <br /> <br />the names of the nominees in alphabetical order, and the respective offices for which <br />they have been nominated, (together with a statement of any propositions to be voted <br />upon), twice before the day of said election in the Santa Ana Daily Evening Register, a <br />daily newspaper published in said City of Santa Aha in the form as required by law. <br /> <br /> Section 7. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be printed official <br />ballots, in the fo~m and number as required by law, and shall procure all other supplies <br />necessary for the holding of said election as required by law. <br /> <br /> Section 8. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and <br />shall cause the same to be published three times in the Santa Ana Daily Evening Register <br /> <br /> <br />
