ORDINANCE NO. 985 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 839, SECTION 2 THEREOF, ENTITLED !'AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISH- ING WATER RATES IN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, AND PRESCRIBING RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING CONSUMPTION OF WATER AND FIXING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF." The Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Ana ordain as follows: SECTION 1. That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 839 entitled: "An Ordinance Establishing Water Rates in the City of Santa Aha, and Prescribing Rules and Regulations Governing Consumption of Water and Fixing a Penalty for the Violation Thereof", reading as follows: "Section No. 2. The followin6 rates and compensation are hereby fixed and established as the rates and compensation to be charged and collected by the Santa Ana Water Department, for water furnished by said department. METER RATES-- 1. For the first 1000 cu.ft, or less in any one month .................................. $1.00 For'the next 3~000 cu. ft. Or less At the rate of $.10 per 100 cu. ft ................ FOr all over 4,000 Cu. ft. at the rate of $.08 per 100 cu. ft. All public schools shall pay the regular rate for the first 1,O00 cu. ft., and shall be allowed a 50 per cent discount for all wa~er used in excess thereof.
