ORDIN~NCE NO. 972 AN ORDINANCE AY~ENDING SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE NO. 30, ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE IN RELATION TO THE "~, · CARE AND CUSTODY OF THE BOOKS~ RECORDS AND PAP~S OF THE TOWN, A~ TO OFFICE HOURS IN THE CI~ERKtS 0PFICE.' The Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Ana ordain as follows: SECTION 1: That Section 3 of Ordinance No. 30, reading as follows: "Section 3. The Clerk's office shall be kept open between the hours of 9o~clock A.~. and 12 o~clock and the hours of 1:30 P.M. and 5 o'clock P.M., of each and every day, Sundays and legal holidays excepted". is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 3. All offices in the City Hall, except- ing the Police Department, in the City of Santa Ana, Orange County, State of California, shall be kept open between the hours of 8 A.M. and 12 o~clock noon, and between the hours of i P.~. and 5 P.M., for five (5) days a week, viz., Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, legal holidays excepted. SECTION 2: An emergency is hereby declared to exist owing to the fact that in order to carry out an economy program among the employees of the City of Santa Aha, it has been found necessary to keep open the offices of the City Hall, with the exception of the Police Department, for only five days a week, viz., ~ionday~ Tue§day, Wednesday Thursday and Friday, and this ordinance is necessary to carry out said economy program. This ordinance shall therefore take effect immediately upon its adoption. The foregoing ordinance is approved this 2Vth day of February, 1933. ATTkoT. Paul B.
