<br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 55 OF ORDINANCE NO.
<br />658 AND AMENDMENTS THERET0~ ENTITLED: 'tAN
<br />0flDINANCE PROVIEI NG FOR THE LICENSING 0F
<br />BUSINESS, SHOWS~ EXHIBITIONS AND GAMES CONDUCTED
<br />OR CARRIED ON IN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, FIXING
<br />THE RATE OF LICENSE THEREFOR~ AND PROVIDING FOR
<br />COLLECTION THEREOF.'
<br />
<br />The Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Aha enact as follows:
<br />
<br /> SECTION 1. That Section 55 of Ordinance No; 658 and amendments thereto
<br />reading as follows:
<br />
<br />"Section 55. For every person engaged in or carrying on
<br />the business of a peddler of meats~ game~ poultry, fish,
<br />fruits, vegetables, butter, eggs, butter milk~ milk~
<br />ice-cream, bread, crackers, cakes, pies, or other bake-
<br />stuffs~ confections, or other edibles intended for use
<br />as food for human consumption having, an established
<br />route in the City of Sant~ Ana:
<br />
<br /> By means of any wagon or other vehicle, $3.00 per
<br />month for each vehicle;
<br />
<br /> By means of any hand or push cart, ~
<br /> ~3.00 ~er quarter
<br />for each vehicle;
<br />
<br /> By means of anu basket, tray or other container
<br />carried bY hand, $3.00 per quarter;'~
<br />
<br />is hereby amended to read as follows:
<br />
<br /> SECTION 55. For every person engaged in or carrying on the business
<br />of a peddler of meats, game, poultry, fish, fruit, cosmetics and toilet articles
<br />vegetables~ butter~ eggs, butter-milk, milk, ice-cream~ bread, crackers, cakes~
<br />pies, or other bakestuffs, confections, men~s clothing, hats, hosiery, flowers,
<br />real and artificial, perfumes, and merchandise of every kind and description~
<br />having an established route in the City of Santa Aha:
<br />
<br /> By means of any w~gon or othe~ w~hic~e, $36.00 per annum
<br />for each vehicle, payable yearly in advance;
<br />
<br /> By means of any hand or push cart, $3.00 per quarter for
<br />each vehicle, payable yearly in advance;
<br />
<br /> By means of any basket, tray or other container carried
<br />by hand, $3.00 quarterly, payable yearly in advance.
<br />
<br /> .~CTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify
<br />ordinance and cause the same to be published three
<br />Daily Evening Register, a daily newspaper~ printed,
<br />
<br />to the passage of this
<br />
<br />(3) times in the Santa Ana
<br />published and circulated in
<br />
<br />the City of Santa Aha, and said Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days fro:
<br />the date of its final passage.
<br />
<br /> The foregoing ordinance is approved this ~4th day.of September, 1934.
