ORDINANCE .N.O. 994 AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE CONDUCT OF PUBLIC DANCE HALLS IN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA. The Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Aha ordaine as followe: SECTION 1. It shall be Unlawful for any person, aseociation of persona or Corporation, conducting a public dance hall in the City of Santa Ana, to issue or permit the issuance of p~se-oUt checks to any patron thereof. SECTION 2. Any person, association or corporation who ehall violate any of the provisione of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be pUnishable by a fine not exceeding Five l~red Dollars ($500.00), or by imprisonment in the CoUnty Jail of the CoUnty of Orange, for a period not exceeding six (6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and cause the same to be published once in the "Santa Aha Daily Evening Register", a daily newspaper, printed, City of Santa Aha, and the same shall after the first publication thereof. published and generally circulated in the take effect and be in force thirty (30) daym The foregoing ordinance is signed and approved by me this 30th day of April, 1934.
