<br />EN ORDINANCE A~ENDIEG SECTION 55 OF ORDINANCE
<br />NO. 658 ~AN~ AMENDMENTS THERETO, ENTITLED: "AN
<br />ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LICenSING OF BUSINESSES,
<br />SHONS, EXHIBITIONS AND GA~IES CONDUCTED OR CARRIED
<br />ON IN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, FIXING THE RATE OF
<br />LICENSE THEREFOR, AND PROVIDING FOR COLLECTION
<br />THEREOF."
<br />
<br />The Board of T~ustees of the City of Santa Anal, Orange County~
<br />
<br />California, enact as follows:
<br />
<br /> SECTION l. That section 55 of Ordinance No. 658 and amendments thereto
<br />reading as follows:
<br />
<br /> "Section 55. For every person engaged in or carrying on
<br />the business of a peddler of meats, game, poultry, fish,
<br />fE~it, cosmetics and toilet articles, vegetables, butter,
<br />eggs, butter-milk, milk, ice-cream, bread, crackers, cakes,
<br />pies, or other bakestuffs, confections, men's clothing, hats,
<br />hosiery, flowers, real and artificial, perfumes, snd
<br />merchandise of every kind and description, having an
<br />established route in the City of Santa Aha;
<br />
<br /> By means of any wagon or other vehicle $36.00 per annum for
<br />each vehicle, ps, able yearly in advance;
<br />
<br /> By means of any hand or push cart, $3.00 per quarter for
<br />each vehicle, payable yearly in advance;
<br />
<br /> By means of any basket, tray or other container carried by
<br />hand, $3.00 quarterly, payable yearly in advance";
<br />
<br />is hereby amended to read as follows:
<br />
<br /> "Section 58. For every person engaged in or carrying on the
<br />bus'i~es's of a peddler of meats, game, poultry, fish, fruit,
<br />cosmetics and toilet articles, vegetables, butter, eggs,
<br />butter-milk, milk, ice-cream, men's clothing, hats, hosiery,
<br />flowers, real and a~-hifici~l, and perfumes:
<br />
<br /> By means o~ any wagon or other vehicle $3.00 per quarter
<br />for each vehicle, payable annually in advance or fraction
<br />thereof;
<br />
<br /> ~ymeans of any hand or push ca~t, $3.00 per quarter for
<br />each vehicle, payable quarterly in advance or fraction thereof;
<br />
<br /> By means of any basket, tray or other container carried by
<br />hand, ~3.00 per quarter in advance or fraction thereof."
<br />
<br />SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall cause this ordinance to be published
<br />
<br />three times in the "Santa Ana Daily Evening Register", a daily newspaper printed
<br />
<br />and pUblished in the City of Santa Anna, Califo. rnia, and thirty (30) days after its
<br />
<br />final passage the same shall take effect and be in force.
<br />
<br />The foregoing ordinance is signed and approved by me this 18th day of
<br />
<br />March, 1935.

<br />Board of Trustees, held on the 18th day of March, 1935, by the following vote:
