ORDINANCE NO. 1008 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR HOLDING A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION IN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA~ ON THE OTH DAY OF A~RIL~ 19J8, FOR THE ELECTION OF CITY OFFICERS IN SAID CITY AND VOTING UPON THE PROPOSITION OF LEVYING AND COLLECTING A TAX NOT EXCEEDING T~O CENTS ON EACH ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR ~USIC PURPOSES; GIVING NOTICE OF SAID ELECTION~ DESIGNATING THE POLLING PLACES~ THE HOURS DURING V~HICH THE POLLS SHALL BE OPENED, THE OFFICERS TO BE ELECTED, AND APPOINTING h~LECTION OFFICERS TO SERVE AT SAID ELECTION. The City Council of the City of Santa Aha ordains as follows: SECTION 1. A general municipal election shall be held in the City of Santa Ana, Orange County, California, by the qualified electors of said City, on the second Monday in ApPil, 19Z5, the ~ame being the 8th day of April, 1935, for the election of the following named officers: 1. A board of five ($) trustees, to be known as the City Council, for the term of four (4) years. 2. A Board of Education, to centrist of five (8) members, for the teen of four (4) years. A Recorder~ who shall be known as the City Judge, four (4) years. A Treasurer for the term of four (4) years. for a term of Clerk for the term of four (4) years. ~. An Attorney for the term of four (4) years. A Marshal, who shall be known as the Chief of Police, for the teen of four (4) years. Also voting upon the proposition of levying and collecting a tax not exceeding two cents on each one hundred dollars of assessed valuation, for the purpose of providing music, as follows: 8. Shall the City of Santa Aha levy and collect a tax not exceeding two cents on each one hundred dollars of assessed valuation, for the purpose of pro- vidingmusic? , YES , SECTION 2. There will be thirty-four (84) voting precincts for the purpose of holding said election, consisting of a consolidation of the regular precincts established for holding the last general State and County election as follows: CONSOLIDATED VOTING PREC~I~CT NO. l, comprising State and County Precinct Nos.
