RESOLUTION NO. 62-41 ACCEPTING DEED FROM <br />R. E. LOGUE IN CONSIDERATION OF THE PAYI~ENT <br />OF $9,000.00 AND A QUITCLAIM DEED FROM THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA TO SAID R. E. LOGUE FOR <br />CERTAIN PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF SAID QUITCLAIM DEED <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, R. E. LOGUE, a widower, has presented to the City <br /> <br />a deed dated February 14, 1962, conveying a parcel of real property <br />for Fairview Street, North of Ninth Street, in consideration of the <br />payment of $9,000.00 and a quitclaim deed from the City quitclaiming <br />to him certain small parcels of real property adjoining his property; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said transaction is to be handled through Escrow <br /> <br />No. 308727 MGL, Sr. with Title Insurance and Trust Company, Santa Ana, <br />California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has determined to accept said deed and to <br />execute a quitclaim deed for said small parcels of real property to <br />R. E. LOGUE. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Ana <br />accepts said deed dated February 14, 1962, from R. E. LOGUE, and <br />Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated agent, is directed to place <br />his Certificate of Acceptance on said deed. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the Clerk of the <br /> <br />Council are hereby directed to execute a quitclaim deed quitclaiming <br /> <br />to R. E. LOGUE any right, title or interest that the City may have <br /> <br />in said parcels of real property described as follows: <br /> <br />Those portions of Lot 2 of Tract No. 19, in the City of <br />Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, as shown <br />on a map thereof recorded in book 9, page 23, Miscellaneous <br />Maps, records of said Orange County, described as follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at a point in the Easterly line of said Lot 2, a <br />distance of 75 feet Northeasterly from the Southeast corner <br />of said lot; thence Northeasterly along said Easterly line, <br />50 feet; thence Westerly, parallel with the Southerly line <br />of said lot, a distance of 165 feet; thence Southwesterly, <br />parallel with the Easterly line of said Lot, a distance of <br />50 feet; thence Easterly, parallel with the Southerly line <br />of said Lot, a distance of 165 feet to the point of beginning. <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
