of the Vehicle ~ode, <br />manner, direct the marking or indication of any cross-walks in the <br />Santa Ana. <br /> <br /> SECTI.ON 12: In any alley connecting t~o <br /> <br />terminating in Central Traffic District "A" or "B", <br /> <br />and such City Council or the Chief of Police may in like <br /> City of <br /> <br />or more streets in or <br />it shall be unlawful to <br /> <br />operate any vehicle in a southerly or in an easterly direction or to park any <br />vehicle in any such alley, except while actively engaged in loading or unloading <br />passengers, freight or merchandise. <br /> <br /> It shall be unlav~ful for the operator of any vehicle to drive said <br />vehicle out of any alley or private driveway within said Central Traffic District~ <br />"A" or "B" unless such vehicle has been brought to a complete stop immediately <br />before crossing the sidewalk, and giving an audible warning with his horn, or to <br />turn said vehicle to the left upon any street when entering or leaving such <br />alley. <br /> <br /> SECTION 15: The Chief of Police is hereby authorized, ~hen in his <br />opinion public convenience and necessity requires the same, to erect and maintain <br />temporary signs regulating traffic, travel and parking of vehicles upon the <br />streets and highways in the City of Santa Aha, so as to prohibit travel, parking <br />or turning of vehicles'upon said public highways as in his opinion the occasion <br />may require. <br /> <br /> SECTION l~: Any and all resolutions passed and adopted by the City <br />Council of the City 6f ~nta .&ua pursuant to the provisions of this ordinance and <br />pursuant to the provisions of the Vehicle Code of the State of California, shall <br />be deemed to be a part of this ordinance, and any violation of any of the pro- <br />visions of any such resolution shall be deemed to be a violation of this <br />ordinance, to the same effect as though said resolution ~ere a part hereof. <br /> <br /> SECTION l~.: Notwithstanding any other section of this ordinance the <br />provisions of this ordinance shall not apply to any authorized emergency vehicle <br />or s~y other vehicle actually engaged in the performance of emergency duties <br />being perfDrmed by public authorities. <br /> <br /> SEC?ION 18: Any person violating or failing to comply ~ith any of the <br />provisions of this ordinance, or any rule or regulation of the City Council or <br />Chief of Police adopted pursuant hereto, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and <br />upon conviction thereof, shall be punishable for a fire offense by a fine of not <br />to exceed Fifty (~80.00) Dollars or by imprisonment in the County Jail of the <br />County of Orange, for a period not exceeding five (~) days; for a second violatioz <br />within a period of one (1) year, by a fine not to e~eed one hundred ($100.00) <br />Dollars, or by imprisonment in the County Jail of the County of Orange for a <br />~eriod not to exceed ten (10) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment; for a <br />third and additional offense connuitted within one (1) year, by a fine not to <br />exceed Three Hundred ($Z00.O0) Dollars, or by imprisonment in the County Jail of <br />the County of Orange for a period not to exceed three (~) months, or by both <br />such fine and imprisonment. <br /> <br /> SECTION l~ T~t all ordinances which conflict with this ordinance be <br /> <br /> <br />
