RESOLUTION NO. 62-60 DECLARING APRIL 1ST THROUGH <br />APRIL 7TH, 1962, TO BE CIVIC BEAUTIFICATION WEEK <br />AND CALLING UPON ALL CITIZENS OF AND PERSONS IN <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA TO DO THEIR PART TO MAKE <br />THIS A MORE BEAUTIFUL COMMUNITY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has for many years been known <br />as a city of trees located in a pleasant valley backdropped by not <br />too distant mountains; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, many of the structures in said City have been designed <br />and maintained in a manner to contribute to or not too greatly to <br />detract from the satisfying view throughout our City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it has been the custom frc~ time to time to remind <br />ourselves that it is necessary to make a continuing effort to beautify <br />the structures and the surrounding site areas upon which they are <br />located. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby <br />declares April 1st to April 7th, 1962, as Civic Beautification Week, <br />and calls upon all citizens of and persons in the City of Santa Ana <br />to refrain from all stupid and undesirable practices, such as <br />littering, defacing_or damaging any property, thing or place within <br />the City and to lend some effort to the increased cleanliness and <br />external appearance and symmetry of their place of business or abode. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 5th day of March, 1962. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) SS <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br /> I, MARION SUTTNER, <br /> <br />the Council of the City of Santa Ana; <br /> <br />do hereby certify that I am the Clerk of <br /> <br /> that the foregoing Resolution <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
