142 <br /> <br />Inspector <br />Judge <br />Clerk <br />Clerk <br /> <br />Consolidated Voting Precinct #36 <br /> <br />Comprising all that territory embraced withir the S~nta Ana High <br />School District and lying outside of the City of Santa Ana, but <br />included within the Greenville School District and the Diamond <br />School District of the County of Orange. <br /> <br />The polling place shall be at the Diamond School Building. <br /> <br />A. Graser <br /> <br />R-4, Box 192, Santa Aha <br />R-4, Box 145, Santa Ana <br />R-4, Box 190, Santa Aha <br />R-4, Box 223, Santa Aua <br /> <br /> Each of said election officers shal~ receive as compensation the sum <br />of $5.00 for his or her services as a member of such election board. <br /> <br /> ~ECTION 3: That at said general municipal election there shall be <br />submitted to the electors of the City of Santa Aha, pursuant to the provisions of <br />Section 755 of "An Act to Provide for the Organization, Incorporation and <br />Government of Municipal Corporations", approved March 18, 1883, Statutes 1883, <br />p. 93, as amended, and other laws governing elections in cities of the Fifth Class <br />in the State of California, the proposition or question of whether the compensatto~ <br />of the members of the Board of Trustees, known as the City Council, shall be <br />increased frc~ the present compensation of $25.00 per month each to $75.00 per <br />month for each of the members of the said City Council. Said proposition shall <br />be submitted to the voters at such election under the following proposition: <br /> <br />PROPOSITION NO~. 1 <br /> <br />Shall the compensation of the members <br />of the City Council be increased to <br />$75.00 per month for each of the meN- <br />bets of the City Council? <br /> <br />'-YES ' <br /> <br />NO , <br /> <br /> If the majority of the electors voting at such election shall vote in <br /> favor of the foregoing proposition, then each of the City Councilmen shall receive <br /> the compensation specified therein, such compensation to begin on the 1st day of <br /> the next month succeeding the canvass of the return of such election, and the <br /> amount so fixed shall from such date be a charge against such City, payable the <br /> same as other fixed salaries are paid. <br /> <br /> SECTION AS Said election shall be held and conducted in accordance with <br />the laws regulating general municipal elections in cities of the fifth class, and <br />with the general election laws of the State of California, so far aa the same may <br />be applicable thereto. The polls shall be opened at 6 A.M. on the day of said <br />election, and shall be kept open until 7 P.M. of said day, at which time the polls <br />shall be closed. <br /> <br /> SECTION 5: Notice of said election, containing a statement of the time <br />of s~id election and of the names of the offices to be filled thereat, the <br />proposition to be voted on, if any, and briefly, a general description of the <br />voting precincts and location of the polling places, and of the time of the <br />opening and closing of the polls, shall be given by the City Clerk, by one pub- <br />lication in the SANTA ANA DAILY EVENING REGISTEH, a daily newspaper published and <br />circulated in said City of Santa Ana, not earlier thau the sixtieth (60th) or <br />later than the twentieth (20th) day before the date of said election. <br /> <br /> SECTION 6: The City Clerk shall prepare and c s~se to be published a list <br />of the names of the nominees in alphabetical order, and the respective offices <br />for which they have been nominated, (together with a statement of any proposition <br />to be voted upon), twice before the day of said election, in the SANTA ANA DAILY <br />EVENING REGIST~, a daily newspaper published in said City of Santa Ana in the <br /> <br /> <br />
