239 <br /> <br />ORDYNANCE NO. 1105 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE GRANTING TO THE ATCHISON, <br />TOPEKA AND SANNA FE RAILWAY COMPANY A <br />PERMIT TO CONSTRUCT, MAINTAIN AND USE <br />CERTAIN RAILROAD TRACEB ACROSS CERTAIN <br />STREETS IN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, COUNTY <br />OF ORANGE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ~ANTA ANA DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOW: <br /> <br /> SECTION l~ That, subject to the terms and conditions hereinafter stated~ <br /> the right, privilege and permission is hereby granted to THE ATCHSION, TOPEKA AND <br /> SANTA FE ~AILWAY CONPANY~ a corporation, its successors and assigns, to construct, <br /> maintain and operate for a period of Twenty-five (25) years, unless sooner terminated, <br /> certain new trackage, and to relocate, maintain and operate for a period of twenty-five <br /> ~5) years, unless sooner terminated, certain existing trackage across Chestnut Street <br /> in said City of ~anta Ana, at the location and in the manner shown on a map attached <br /> to a petition filed by the said Railway Company in the office of the City Clerk of <br /> said City on the 15th day of September, 1941, to which petition and map x'eference ia <br /> hereby made for further particulars, which locations are as follows: <br /> <br /> CHESTNUT STREET <br /> Proposed relocation <br /> of Main Track <br /> <br /> The centerllne of proposed relocation of main track across <br /> Chestnut Street is a spiral CUrve of ten 23 foot chords <br /> having a central angle of 3° 2V' per the Atchison, Topeka and <br /> Santa Fe Railway Company's Standard C.E.S. No. 5800. The centerline <br /> of said proposed reloeati~n of main %~aa~ intersects the cen~rline <br /> of Chestnut 3treet produced, distant 13V.95 feet southerly from the <br /> point of tangent of said spiral curve measured along the center line <br /> of said relocated main track and distant 566.70 feet easterly from <br /> the center line of Minnie Street, measured along the centerline of <br /> Chestnut Street the tangent to said spiral curve at said point of <br /> intersection makes a northwesterly angle of V4° 4@' 30" with the <br /> centerline of Chestnut Street. <br /> <br /> Proposed relocated <br /> Passing Track: <br /> <br /> The centerline of proposed paasing track is 15.0 feet easterly <br /> from and parallel to the above described centerline of proposed <br /> relocation of main track. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: <br /> <br /> That the foregoing grant is made in lieu and instead of a certain grant for <br />railway crossings across Chestnut Street as granted by Ordinance No. 10~ of the City <br />of Santa Aha, and is made and granted upon exactly the same terms and conditions as are <br />contained in said ordinance No. 1098 for the permit therein contained, and reference is <br />hereby made to Ordinance No. 1098, which ordinance is entitled "AN ORDINANCE GRANTING <br />TO THE ATCHISON, TOHEKA AND SANTA FE RAILWAY COMPANY A PERMIT TO CONSTRUCT, MAINTAIN <br /> <br />AND USE CERTAIN RAILROAD TRACES ACROS3 CERTAIN STREETS IN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, COUNTY <br />OF ORANGE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA", for further particulars, and the location of the <br />proposed main track and passing track crossing Chestnut Street, as contained in said <br />Ordinance No. 1098 is hereby cancelled and revoked. <br /> <br /> SECTION 3: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and <br />shall cause the same to be published in three consecutive issues of the SANTA ANA <br />REGISTER, a newspaper printed, published and circulated in the City of Santa Aha, and <br />hereby designated for that purpose. This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) <br />days from and after its adoption. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Santa Aha at its regular <br />adjourned meeting held on the 22nd ~ of September, 1941. <br /> <br /> <br />
