279 <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1125 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE ANENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1078, ~TITLED <br /> "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING RULES GOVERNING THE <br /> PROCEDURE OF THE CITY COUNCIL 0F THE CITY OF SANTA ANA" <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That Section 7 of Ordinance No. 1076, entitled "AN ORDINANCE <br />ESTABLISHING RULES GOVERNING THE PROCEDURE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 0F SANTA ANA" <br />be and the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "SECTION 7: .That for the purpese of maintaining a close <br /> <br /> contact between the members of the City Council and the various <br /> Departments of the City, the City Council is hereby divided into <br /> five standing committees, which committees shall be responsible <br /> to the Council for the conduct, and operation of the five depart- <br /> ments of the City, and the chairman of each such committee shall <br /> be known as the Director of such department~ The said depart- <br /> ments are as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. Department of ?ublic Health, which shall include <br /> <br /> City Water Department <br /> Sanitary Sewers <br /> Storm Water Control <br /> Health Department of City <br /> Garbage Collection <br /> <br /> 2. Department of Public safety, which shall include <br /> <br /> Police Department <br /> Fire Department <br /> Traffic Safety Commission <br /> <br /> 5. Department of Public Ways, which shall include <br /> <br /> Streets and Highways <br /> Track Removal Commission <br /> Trash Collection <br /> <br /> 4. Department of City Development, which shall include <br /> <br /> Planning Commission <br /> Building Department <br /> City Electrical Inspector <br /> City Plumbing Inspector <br /> City Building Inspector <br /> Library Board <br /> Museum Board (except grounds) <br /> Parks and Playgrounds <br /> Forestry Departmen~ <br /> <br /> 5. Department of Public Relations, which shall include <br /> <br /> Hospitality <br /> Public Contacts <br /> Finances and Auditing <br /> City Hall <br /> <br /> "The Mayor shall be Chairman of the Committee on the Department <br /> <br /> of Public Relations, and shall be ex-officio a m~ber of each of the <br /> <br /> other Committees. <br /> <br /> "The Chairman of the Department of Public Health Committee shall be <br /> ex-officio a member of the Department of City Development Committee. <br /> "The Chairman of the Department of Public Safety Committee shall be <br /> ex-officio a member of the Department of Public Ways Committee. <br /> <br /> "The Chairman of the Department of Public Ways Committee shall be <br /> ex-officio a member of the Department of Public Safety Committee. <br /> "The Chairman of the Department of City Development Committee shall <br /> be ex-officio a member of the Department of Public Health Comittee. <br /> <br /> <br />
