RESOLUTION NO. 62-110 INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR <br />ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, <br />DESIGNATING AN APPROPRIATE NAME FOR SAID TERRITORY <br />OF "NEWPORT AND DYER, S.E. ANNEX" AND GIVING NOTICE <br />OF PROTEST HEARING THEREON <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a map and description were submitted to the Orange <br />County Boundary Commissionby the owners of more than twenty-five <br />(25%) percent of said territory together with the statement that <br />said description was intended to be used in annexation proceedings <br />to the City of Santa Ana, California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said Boundary COm~mission met in regular session at <br />11:00 A.M. on the llth day of June, 1962, and after consideration of <br />the report from the County Surveyor's office to the effect that the <br />principal portion of said description had been approved as to <br />definiteness and certainty of the proposed boundaries at prior <br />meetings, but that the reference to Book and Page recording data <br />regarding a deed had been omitted, and that said deed conveyed <br />property at a point where said description joined the San Diego <br />Freeway; on motion duly seconded and carried, said Boundary Commission <br />found that the boundaries of the proposed annexation were not definite <br />and certain and caused a report of said action with respect to the <br />definiteness and certainty of said proposed boundaries to the propo- <br />nents to be prepared; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said description was then amended to include said <br />recording data, the omission of which had been the sole basis for <br />finding said boundary not definite and certain, and said amended <br />description is hereinbelow set out. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana hereby initiates proceedings for annexation of said <br /> <br /> to the City of Santa Ana, California, for <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br />territor~ herein described, <br />the following reasons: <br /> <br /> <br />
