For each bbl. of cement or lime used other <br /> than pavement .............................. $0.08" <br /> <br /> "SECTION 2~: The City Council does, by the enactment .of <br />this ordinance, determine and declare that the smount of water <br />available to the City of Santa Aha through the Orange County <br />Feeder Line of the Metropolitan Water District is in excess of <br />the amount required for domestic purposes by the City of Santa <br />Ana, at the present time. <br /> <br /> That until such time as the City Council of the City of <br />Santa Aha, and/or the Directors of the Metropolitan Wate~ District, <br />shall determine and declare that such excess water no longer exists, <br />such excess water available to the City, of Santa Aha in the said <br />OrangeCounty Feeder Line may be sold for the purpose of irrigation <br />of agricultural land within the exterior boundaries of the City <br />of Santa Aha. Water sold for irrigation shall be only through <br />connections made directly to the Metropolitan. Water District line. <br /> <br /> All such connections ~hAT1 be made by the City of Santa Arm <br />or the Metropolitan Water District upon approval of the City Council <br />of the City of Santa Aha on application for such service. No <br />application for such service will be approved by the City Council <br />until application for such service has been made in writing to the <br />Santa Aha Water Department, accompanied by.sufficient funds to cover <br />the estimated cost of installation plus 10%. Should the cost of <br />installation exceed the amount deposited, the applicant will be <br />billed for the balance due, and no water will be turned on until <br />said balance is paid. Should the cost of installation be less than <br />the amount paid, the money in excess of cost of installation will <br />be refunded to the applicant. <br /> <br /> All such connections shall be and remain the property of the · <br />City of Santa Ans. <br /> <br /> All water served through such connections shall be paid for <br />by the applicant at the r ate of $20.00 per acre foot, payment <br />therefor being due and payable at the office of the Water Department <br />in the City Hall on the first day of the month following delivery of <br />water. Should payment fer water used not be made by the 10th of the <br />month, no more water will be delivered until such payment has been made. <br /> <br /> Should the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, and/or the <br />Directors of the Metropolitan Water District determine, at any time, <br />that the amount of water available to the City of Santa Aha is no <br />longer sufficient to supply water for the irrigation of agricultural <br />land, the City Council may at its option rescind the provisions of <br />this ordinance which grant the privilege of using water for <br />agricultural purposes, and all meters, connections, and other <br />appurtenances shall become the sole property of the City of Santa Ana." <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption <br />of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published in three consecutive <br />issues of the SANTA ANA REGIST~, a newspaper printed, published and circulated <br />in the City of Santa Aha, and hereby designated for that purpose.
