ORDINANCE NO. 1150 <br /> <br /> An Ordinance Relocating Tracks of the Pacific <br /> Electric Railway. Company from Location Across <br /> 4th Street and 3rd Street. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Pacific Electric Railway Company proposes to abandon and remove <br />tracks on 4th Street from a point near Mortimer Street to the end of the line, <br />including spur near end of line on which passenger cars are now stored, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said Pacific Electric Railway Company proposes to reconstruct <br />trackage in its depot yard at or near Mortimer Street, which tracks will permit <br />off-street storage of cars, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, such rearrangement of trackage at the depot yard requires the <br />relocation of track across the southerly part of 4th Street, and of two tracks <br />across 3rd Street, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is desirable that said track relocation be made. <br /> <br /> 'NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana do ordain as <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That tracks of Pacific Electric Railway Company be relocated <br /> <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Shift single track in south part of Fourth Street a maximum <br />distance of 3 feet north easterly to location described as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at a point in Fourth Street 282.07 feet easterly of <br />French Street; thence southeasterly along a curve concave to <br />the southwest and having a radius of 232.80 feet a distance of <br />82.49 feet, more or less, to the south line of Fourth Street <br />distant easterly thereon 328.29 feet from the center line of <br />French Street. <br /> <br />Shift two tracks in Third Street approximately 80 feet easterly <br />to location described as follows: <br /> <br />1. Beginning at a point in the north line of Third Street (60 <br />feet wide) distant easterly thereon 439.92 feet from the center <br />line of French Street; thence southwesterly 61.40 ~eet, more or <br />less, to the south line of Third Street distant easterly thereon <br />428.31 feet from the center line of French Street. <br /> <br />2. Beginning at a point in the north line of Third Street (60 <br />feet wide) distant easterly thereon 440.22 feet from the center <br />line of French Street; thence southerly 60 feet, more or less, <br />to the south line of Third Street distant easterly thereon 440.87 <br />feet from the center line of French Street. <br /> <br />SECTION II. That the above described portions of said railroad tracks <br /> <br />so relocated shall be constructed and thereafter operated and maintained in accord. <br /> <br />ante with the terms and conditions of ordinances of the City of Santa Ana uuder <br /> <br />which said Pacific Electric Railway Company now operates the tracks in their <br /> <br />present location. <br /> <br />SECTION III. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption <br /> <br />of this ordinance, and shall cause the same to be published in three consecutive <br /> <br />issues of the Santa Aha Register, a newspaper printed, published and circulated in <br /> <br />the City of Santa Aha, and hereby designated for that purpose.
