ORDINANCE NO. !16~ ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1074 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana has giw~n notice of public meetings as required by law in connection with the application to amend the Zoning Ordinance to cover the properties hereinafter described, and has duly held two public meeting~ upon the question of such amendment , and thereafter, by resolution, recommended the same to the City Council for adoption; and '~EREAS, the City Council gave due and regular notice of a public hearing to be held before the City Council, and ~uoh public hearing has been duly and regularly held, and the City Council~does now find that puollc necessity requires the following amendment and change in the present classification of certain property in the City of Santa Ana and that the pro- posed uses under the proposed new cla~sificstlon w~ll not be detrimental to the surrounding property; NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: That Sheet No. 15 of the Districting Map of the City of Santa Ana of Ordinance No. 1074 entitled "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING DISTRICTS WITHIN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AND ESTABLISHING CLASSIFICATIONS OF LAND USES AND HEGULATING SUCH LAND UBES IN SUCH DISTRICTS: REGULATING THE HEIGHT OF BUILDINGS AND OPEN SPACES FOR LIGHT AND VENTILATION: ADOPTIN$ A MAP OF SAID DISTRICTS: DEFINING THE TEPJ~B USED IN SAID ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR THE ADJUSTMENT, AJ~ENDMENT AND ENFORCEMENT THEREOF; PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR ITS VIOLATION AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 809 AND ALL ORDINANCES AMENDATORY OR SUPPLE~ENTARTY THERETO, T~E~OF~AND ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLIOT HEREWITH," be amended to reclassify the following property, to wit: 10.61 acres of land, bounded on the East by Ross Street, on the West by Parton Street, on the North by Seventeenth Street, excepting therefrom the South 25 feet and the North 150 feet, as follows: The North 50 feet of said property to be reclassified as C-l, and the balance of said property to be reclassified as R-3. That said Districting Map so amended is attached hereto and hereby adopted and made a part hereof. Section Z: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published in three consecutive issues of the Santa Aha Register, a newspaper printed, published and circulated in the City of Santa Ana, and hereby designated for that purpose. This ordinance shall take effect thirty days from and after its adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha at its regular meetir~ held on the 15th day of April, 1946.
