ORDINANCE NO. 1167 0R~INANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1074 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana has given notice of public meeting as required by law in connection wi~h the application to amend the Zoning Ordinance to cover the properties hereinafter described, and has duly held two public meetings upon the question of such amendment, and there- after, by resolution,~recomended the same to the City Council for adoption; and WHEREAS, the City Council gave due and regular notice of a public hear- ing to be held before the City Council, and such public hearing has been duly and regularly held, and the City Council does now find that public necessity requires the foll~wi~ amendment and change in the present classification of certain property in the City of Santa Aha and that the proposed uses under the proposed new classification will not be detrimental to the su~u~ounding property; NOW THEREFORE, TEE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOW~ Section !. That Sheet No. 2V of the Districting Map of the City of Santa Aha of Ordinance No. 10~4 entitled "ANORDINANCE ESTABLISHING DISTRICTS WITHIN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AND ESTABLISHING CLASSIFICATIONS OF LAND USES AND REGULATING SUCH LAND USES IN SUCH DISTRICTS: REGULATING THE HEIGHT 0F BUILDINGS AND OPEN SPACES FOR LIGHT AND VENTILATION: ADOPTING A MAP OF SAID DISTRICTS: DEFINING THE TERMS USED IN SAID ORDINANCE: PROVIDING FOR THE ADJUSTMENT, AMEND- MENT AND ENFORCEMENT THEREOF: PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR ITS VIOLATION AND REPEAL- ING ORDINANCE NO. 809 AND ALL ORDINANCES AMENDATORYTHEREOF OR SUPPLEMENTARY THERETO, AND ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH", be amended to reclassify as M-1 all property now classified as C-2 within the follow- ing described exterior boundary line, to-wit: Beginning at a point in the north line of 5th Street, 27§ feet Westerly from the West line of Hawley Street, said point of beginning being the Southeast corner of Lot $?, Bl~ck "B", Tract 86S, running thence Northerly along the East line of Lot ST to the Northeast corner thereof; thence Westerly along the North line of Lots $~ and $8, a distance of 212.18 feet, more or less, to the Northwesterly corner of Lot S8, said corner being in the Northeasterly R/W line of the Pacific Electric Railway; thence Southeasterly along the Northeasterly line of the Pacific Electric R/W which is also the Southwesterly line of Lot S8 to the North line of §th Street, which point is also the Southwest corner of Lot SS. Thence Easterly along the Northerly llne of Sth Street, a distance of 44.38 feet to the point of beginning. That said Districting Map so amended is attached hereto and hereby adopted and made a pax~ hereof. Section 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this 0rdinan¢ and shall cause the same to be published in three consecutive issues of the Santa Aha Register, a newspaper printed, published and circulated in the City of Santa Aha, and hereby designated for that purpose. This ordinance shall take effect thirty days from and after its adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 5rd day of June, 1948.
