I 3 ':0 ORDINANCE NO. 1169 ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1074 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana has given notice of public meetings as required by law in connection with the application to amend the Zoning Ordinance to cover the properties hereinafter described, and has duly held two public meetings upon the question of such amendment, and there-' after, by resolution, recommended the same to the City Council for adoption; and WHEREAS, the City Council gave due and regular notice of a public hear- ing to be held before the City Council, and such public hearing has been duly and regularly held, and the City Council does now find that public necessity requires the following amendment and change in the present classification of certain prop- erty in the City of Santa Aha and that the proposed uses under the proposed new cl~wsification will not be detrimental to the surrounding property; NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: That Sheet 43 of the Districting Map of the City of Santa Az of Ordinance No. 1074 entitled "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING DISTRICTS WITHIN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AND ESTABLISHING CLASSIFICATIONS OF LAND USES AND REGULATING SUCH LAND USES IN SUCH DISTRICTS; REGULATING THE HEIGHT OF BUILDINGS AND OPEN SPACES FOR LIGHT AND VENTILATION; ADOPTING A NAP OF SAID DISTRICTS; DEFINING THE TNRMS USED IN SAID ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR THE ADJUSTMENT, AMENDMKNT AND ENFORCE- MENT THEREOF; PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR ITS VIOLATION AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 809 and ALL ORDINANCES AMENDATOR~ THEREOF OR SUPPLEMENTARY THERETO, AND ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH", be ~mended to reetmsBify as C-2 all property now classified as R-1 and lying within the exterior boundary lines of the property described as follows: Beginning at the Northeast corner of Main St. and Dyer Rd.; thence Easterly along the North llne of Dyer Rd. 136 feet to a point; thence Northerly parallel to the East line of Main St., a distance of 436.69 feet, more or less,.to the South line of Tract No. 159; thence West~ly along the South line of Tract No. 159, ll feet to a point which is 125 feet Easterly from the East line of Main St.; thence Northerly parallel to the East llne of Main St. along the Easterly line of Lots I to 8, Incl., of Tract No. 159, and an extension thereof 603.66 feet to the Southeasterly line of the Pacific Electric Right of Way line; thence Southwesterly along the Southeasterly line of the Pacific Electric Right of Way llne, 144.01 feet to the Easterly line of Main St.; thence Southerly along the Easterly line of Main St. 968.28 feet to the point of beginning. Also beginning at the Southwesterly corner of Lot 18, Block "F", South Santa Aha Tract; thence Easterly 180 feet along the Southerly line of said Lot 18 to the Southeasterly corner thereof; thence Northerly along the Easterly line of Lots 18 to 23, incl., 341.42 feet to the Northeasterly corner of Lot 23 of said Tract; thence Westerly along the Northerly line of said Lot 23, 150 feet to the Northwesterly corner thereof which is a point in the Easterly line of Main St., thence Southerly along the Easterly line of Main St., 341.35 feet to the point of beginning. Said property is located on the east side of South Main Street between Central Avenue and the South City limit line. That s~id Districting Map so amended is attached hereto and hereby adopted and made a part hereof. Section 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordlnanc. and shall cause the same to be published in three consecutive issues of the Santa Ana Register, a newspaper printed, published and circulated in the City of Santa Aha, and hereby designated for that purpose. This ordinance shall take effect thirty days from and after its adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 1Vth day of J%~le, 1~48.
