<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA AMA APPROVING
<br />THE ANNEXATION OF SOUTHEAST SANTA AMA TO THE
<br /> CITY OF SANTA ANA,
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 3462 of the City of Santa Ana, and other
<br />proceedings had and taken in accordance with the law in such cases made and provided,
<br />an election was duly and regularly held in that certain territory known as "Southeast
<br />Santa Ana", and more particularly described as follows, to-wit:
<br />
<br /> All that certain real property situated in the County of Orange, State of
<br />
<br />Caiifornia, and more particularly described as follows:
<br />
<br /> Beginning at the Northeasterly corner of Tract No. 284, Chanticleer
<br />Manor, as per map thereof recorded in Book 14, pages i and 2 of
<br />Miscellaneous Maps, records of said Orange County, said point being on
<br />the Westerly extension of the Northerly line of Tract No. 560, McFadden
<br />Home Tract No. 4, as per map thereof recorded in Book 19, pages i and 2
<br />of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of said Orange County, said point being also
<br />on the East boundary line of the City of Santa Ana; thence Easterly along
<br />said Westerly extension and said Northerly line of Tract No. 560 to the
<br />Northeasterly corner of said Tract No. 560, said Northeast corner being
<br />a point on'the Westerly line of Tract No. 696, Central Manufacturing
<br />District, Section No. l, as per map thereof recorded in Book 20, pages
<br />45 and 46 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of said Orange County; thence con-
<br />tinuing Easterly along the Easterly extension of said Northerly line of
<br />Tract No. 560 to a point which is 125 feet East of the East line of
<br />Standard Avenue, as said Avenue is shown on said Tract No. 696; thence
<br />South parallel to and distant 125 feet from the East line of said Standard
<br />Avenue to the South line of said Tract No. 696, being a point in Delhi
<br />RoadS;thence West along the South line of said Tract No. 696 and its
<br />Westerly extension to the Northeast corner of Ermnett's Addition to South
<br />Santa Ana, as per map thereof recorded in Book 8, page 13 of Miscellaneous
<br />Maps, Records of said Orange County, being an angle point in the boundary
<br />line of the City of Santa Ana; thence West along the North line of said
<br />Emmett's Additi~,n, being along the boundary line of the City of Santa Aha
<br />to a point in the Southerly extension of the East line of Tract No. 638
<br />Furman Tract No. l, as per map thereof recorded in Book 19, page 1V of
<br />Miscellaneous Maps, Records of said Orange County, being an angle point
<br />in the boundary line of the City of Santa Ana; thence North along the
<br />East line of said Tract No. 638 and the East line of said Tract No. 284
<br />being also along the boundary line of the City ofSanta Ana to the North-
<br />easterly corner of said Tract No. 284, being the point of beginning, and
<br />situated in the County of Orange, State of California.

<br />at which election there was submitted to the qualified voters of said "Southeast
<br />
<br />Santa Ana" the following proposition, to-wit:
<br />
<br /> "Shall "Southeast Santa Ana" be annexed to the City of Santa Ana?"
<br />
<br />and
<br />
<br /> ~GtEREAS, it appears from the canvass of the returns of said election so h~ld
<br />in said "Southeast Santa Ana", that a majority of all of the votes cast in such "South-
<br />east Santa Ana", being the territory above described, on the question of such annexation
<br />
<br />are in favor of annexation, are in favor of annexation.
<br />
<br /> NOW, Ti~ERE?~RE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS
<br />
<br />FOLLOWS:
<br />
<br /> SectiJ~n l: That the annexation of "Southeast Santa Ana" to the City of
<br />
<br />Santa Ana is approved by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, and said City
<br />Council of said City does hereby declare that "Southeast Santa Ana" has been duly
<br />
<br />and regularly annexed to the City of Santa Ana.
<br />
<br /> Section 2: A certified copy of this ordinance giving the date of its passage
<br />
<br />shall be filed with the Secretary of State as provided for by law.
<br />
<br /> Section 3: All the property in the new territory heretofore described, after
<br />
<br />twelve o'clock Meridian on the first Monday of March, 194V, and before the completion
<br />
<br />of the assessment roll of said City of Santa Ana, shall be s~bject to taxation for
<br />
<br />municipal purposes ~or the fiscal year following said first ~onday in ~arch, 1947.
<br />
<br /> Section 4: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this
<br />ordinance, and shall cause the same to be published in three Consecutive issues of the
<br />Santa Aha Register, a newspaper printed, published, and circulated in the City of
<br />
<br />
