ORDINANCE NO. llV4 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />ESTABLISHING SET-BACK LINES UPON ~;~EST <br />SEVENTEENTH STREET, ON BOTH SIDES OF <br />SAID STREET, FROM FLOWER STREET TO <br />THE WESTERLY LIMITS OF THE CITY. <br /> <br />of Seventeenth Street <br />to ~ect any building, <br />thereon, to-wit: <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Santa Ana do ordain as follows: <br />Section l: That the public interest and convenience requires, <br />and there is hereby established set-back lines upon the following street <br />in the City of Santa Ana, California, between which lines and the center <br /> <br /> it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation <br /> <br /> wall fence or other structure, or place any structure <br /> <br /> West Seventeenth Street from Flower Street to <br /> the Westerly limits of said City on both sides <br /> of said street, fifty (50) feet to the North and <br /> South sides of. the center of said West Seventeenth <br /> Street. <br /> <br /> Section 2: That the foregoing set-back lines are established after <br /> <br />a Resolution of Intention as duly passed and adopted and a hearing held thereon, <br />after notice by publication and posting in the manner prescribed by Ordinance <br />No. 815 of the City of Santa Aha, entitled, "An Ordinance Prescribing the <br />Method of Procedure for Establishing Set-Back Lines in the City of Santa Ana", <br />and the City Council having heard and passed upon all protests or objections <br />filed or made to the establishment of said set-back lines. <br /> <br /> Section 5: That the Building Inspector of the City of Santa Analshall <br />refuse to issue any permit for any building, wall, fence or other structur~ <br />proposed to be erected within the space the exterior lines or boundaries of <br />which are hereinabove described. <br /> <br /> Section ~: That any person, firm or corporation violating any or'the <br />provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon <br />conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine of not more than Five Hundred <br />Dollars (~800.00), or by imprisonment in the County Jain of the County of Orange, <br />for a period of not more than six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. <br />Each such person, firm or corporation shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense <br />for each day during any portion of which any violation of this Ordinance shall be <br />permitted, continued, or cormnitted by such person, firm or corporation, and shall <br />be punishable therefor a provided by this Ordinance. <br /> <br /> Section 5: Any part or portion of any Ordinance in conflict with the <br />provisions of this Ordinance is hereby repealed. <br /> <br /> Section 8: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of <br />this Ordinance, and shall cause the same to be published in three consecutive <br />issues of the Santa Ana Register, a newspaper printed, published and circulated <br />in the City of Santa Ana, and hereby designated for that purpose.
