THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section l: That Ordinance No. llS1 entitled "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA IMPOSING A LICENSE TAX FOR THE PRIVILEGE OF SELL- ING TANGIBLE PERSONAL PROPERTY AT RETAIL, PROVIDING FOR PER}~ITS TO RE- TAILERS, PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTING AND PAYING OF SUCH TAX, AND PRE- SCRIBING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS OF THE PROVISIONS Iit~REOF", is hereby amended by adding thereto a new Section numbered Section S (a) to read as follows: "Section S exemptions (a). EXEMPTIONS. That in addition to those specifically set forth in the ,Sales and Use Tax Law,, there are exempted from the City Sales Tax any and all sales of property which is shipped to a point out- side this City, pursuant to the contract of sale by deliv- ery by the retailer to such point by means of (A) facili- ties operated by the retailer; (B) delivery by the retail- er to a carrier for shipment to a consignee at such point; or (C) delivery by the retailer to a custom's broker or forwarding agent for shipment outside this City." Section 2: This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force and effect on January 1st, 1947o Section 5: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published in three consecutive issues of the Santa Aha Register, a newspaper printed, published and circulated in the City of Santa Aha, and hereby designated for that purpose.
