ORDINANCE NO. 1~196 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE A~,~ND!NG ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1074. <br /> <br /> Wt~EREAS, the Planning Cormmission of the City of Santa Ana has <br />given notice of public meetingsas required by law in connection with the <br />application to amend the Zoning Ordinance to cover the properties herein- <br />after described, and has duly held two public meetings upon the question <br />of such amendment, and thereafter, by resolution, recommended the same to <br />the City Council for adoption; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council gave due and regular notice of a public <br />hearing to be held before the City Council, and such public hearing has <br />been duly and regularly held, and the City Council does now find that <br />public necessity requires the following amendment and change in the pres- <br />ent classification of certain property in the City of Santa Ana and that <br />the proposed uses under the proposed new classification will not be detri- <br />mental to the surrounding property; <br /> <br /> NOW TI~R~FORE, Ti~ COLE, ICIL OF T}~ CITY OF S~TA ~A DO ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Sheet No. 31 of the Districting Hap of the City of <br />Santa Aha of Ordinance No. 1074 entitled "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING <br />DISTRICTS WITHIN T~ CITY OF SANTA AHA AND ESTABLISHING CLASSIFICATIONS <br />OF LAND USES A~D REGULATING SUCH LAirD USES IN SUCH DISTRICTS; REGULATING <br />TI{E HEIGHT 0F BUILDI~GS Ai~ OPEN SPACES FOR LIGHT AHD VE~ILATION; ADOPT- <br />ING A MAP 0F SAID DISTRICT; DEFINING THE TERiIS USED IN SAID ORDINANCE; <br />I~ROVIDING FOR T~ ADJUSTiiEI{T, AP&P2UD~NT AND ENPOiICEi~IENT THEREOF; PI~SCRIB- <br />lNG PENALTIES PON ITS VIOLATION AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 809 AI~D ALL <br />ORDINANCES AD~i~DATORY TIti~REOP OR SUPPLE~.~I~TARY Tt"~[~RETO, AI~ ALL ORDINANCES <br />OR PARTS 0F ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT I-~ER~¥ITH", be a~ended to reclassify <br />the following property, to-wit: <br /> <br />ParceI ,1;. <br /> <br />The property bounded on the east by South Broadway; <br />on the South by the north line of Tract No. 289; on <br />the west by a line parallel to the center line of <br />South Bmoadway and distant 1~7o~ feet westerly, at <br />right angles, therefrom; ~nd on the north by Pomona Street, <br /> <br />is hereby reclassified from R-1 to R-3. <br /> <br />Parcel 2. <br /> <br />The property bounded on the north by Pomona Street; on <br />the east by a line parallel to the center line of South <br />Broadway and distant, at right angles, 1~7.~ feet westerly <br />therefrom; on the south by the north line of Tract No. <br />289; and on the west by a line parallel to the center line <br />of South Broadway and distant, at right angles, 4S8 feet <br />westerly therefrom, <br /> <br />is hereby reclassified from R-1 to R-2. <br /> <br /> That said Districting Map so amended is attached hereto and hereby <br />adopted and made a part hereof. <br /> <br /> Section 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this <br />Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published in three consecutive <br />issues of the Santa Ana Register, a newspaper printed, published and <br />circulated in the City of Santa Aha, and hereby designated for that pur- <br />pose. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from and after its <br />adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
