Section 4: Psmktngmeters msy be installed along the curb adja- <br />cent to any parking space on any street within Central Traffic District <br />"B". Each such parking meter shall be of such type as to display a signal <br />showing legal parking upon the deposit therein of from one to ten one <br />cent coins, or upon the deposit of one or two nickels or five cent coins, <br />lawful money of the United States, for the part of the street upon which <br />eaid meter is placed; each such meter shall by its device provide 12 <br />minutes parking upon the deposit of each one cent coin up to and including <br />10 one cent coins, or provide 60 minutes psmking upon the deposit of one <br />five cent coin or nickel, or provide 120 minutes psmking upon the deposit <br />of 2 five cent coins or nickels, and each such meter shall be so amranged <br />that upon the expiration of said parking times, it will indicate by <br />mechanical operation and the showing of a proper signal that the lawful <br />parking period has expired. <br /> <br /> Section §: All parking meters shall be placed upon the curb along <br />side of and next to parking spaces. Such parking spaces shall be of suf- <br />ficient size to accommodate an automobile and shall indicate parallel <br />or diagonal parking by painted lines on the pavemente <br /> <br /> Section 6: Whenever any vehicle shall be parked in any space along <br />side or next to which there is located, under this ordinance, a parking <br />meter, the owner, operator, manager or driver of said vehicle shall upon <br />entering said space immediately deposit the proper coin of the United <br />States in said meter and said parking space may then be used by such <br />vehicle duming the parking limit provided for the coin deposited. All <br />parking shall be between the lines of a parking space. <br /> <br /> Section 7: It shall be unlawful for any person to cause, allow~ <br />permit or suffer any vehicle to be parked over time or beyond the lawful <br />period of time as herein provided, or to remain parked in any parking <br />space while a signal showing legal parking is no~ displayed by such adja- <br />cent parking meter. <br /> <br /> Section 8: The provisions of this ordinance relating to the <br />operation of parking meters shall be effective only between the hours of <br />g:00 o'clock A. M. and 8:30 o'clock P. M. on business days from Monday to <br />Friday, both inclusive, of each week and from 9:00 o'clock A. M. to 8:00 <br /> <br /> <br />
