contain a statement that the bidder is <br /> familiar with the provisions of this 0r- <br /> dinamoe and will comply therewith, and <br /> shall state the amount of money said bid- <br /> der will pay to the City of Santa Aaa per <br /> month or per year, in accordance with the <br /> invitation to bid, for eadh advertising <br /> bench proposed to be placed or maintained <br /> under the bid submitted. <br /> <br /> (2) The City Council may, by contract, <br /> agree with one or more persons, firms or <br /> corporations, without the necessity for <br /> advertising for bids, for the placing of <br /> benches upon the streets of Santa Ann in <br /> accordance with the provisions of this Or- <br /> dinance, which contract or contracts shall <br /> specify the amount to be paid per advertis- <br /> ing bench actually placed upon the streets <br /> of Santa Ans. <br /> <br /> (3) The City Council may designate and <br /> direct the Street Superintendent, as its' <br /> agent, to approve, grant or disallow per- <br /> mits upon the applications hereinabove pro- <br /> vided for, without the necessity of bidding <br /> or entering into contracts and in the super- <br /> vision of advertising benches placed upon the <br /> streets of Santa Ann, the maintenance of the <br /> same and the enforcement of this Ordinance. <br /> <br /> (b) All advertising benches must have concrete supports <br />not less than four inches thick, wooden seats and hacks of smooth, <br />well surfaced boards of adequate strength, and no bench shall have <br />a height of more than 3~ feet nor an over-all length of more than <br /> <br />-2- <br /> <br /> <br />
