ORDINANCE NO. 1262 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA REGULATING PARKING AND TRAFFIC wOVEMENT8 ON MUNICIPALLY OWNED PARKING LOTS WHEREAS, the 0ity of Seata Ana has acquired a certain piece of property on Third Street, North of Birch Park, and may hereafter ac- quire other parcels of property in the City of Santa Ama for use in parking of vehicles off the streets of said City; an~ WBEREAS, it is necessary to the operation of property for such a purpose, that certain regulations be enacted to govern the use thereof to prohibit dangerous and undesirable practices and movements and prescribe penalties for the violation thereof. NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: ~CTION 1: That the City Council of Santa Ann, California may, by Resolution, declare the necessity for the use of parking meters on any perking lot within the Olty of Santa Ana that is municipally owned; may fix and determine traffic patterns for the movement of traffic on 'such municipally owne~ perking iota and governing the ingress and egress thereto and therefrom, and when said Council regularly passes and adopts any Resolution for any of said purposes, the same shall control the use of the area effected thereby. SECTION 2: It shall be unlawful for any person on any public perking lot which is municipally owned: (a) To enter said parking lot over any area or drive-way or the portion between any curb-returns which is not marked with the word "antrence" painted thereon or in some manner clearly designated for use as an entrance. (b) To park, place or rank any vehicle on any portion of such lot in such a manner as to interferewith or re- strict ~he freedom of traffic movement between the areas indicated for perking, or to interfe~with the free ingress or egress to and from said lot.
