ORDINANCE NO. 1262 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA REGULATING <br />PARKING AND TRAFFIC wOVEMENT8 ON MUNICIPALLY OWNED <br /> PARKING LOTS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the 0ity of Seata Ana has acquired a certain piece of <br /> property on Third Street, North of Birch Park, and may hereafter ac- <br /> quire other parcels of property in the City of Santa Ama for use in <br /> parking of vehicles off the streets of said City; an~ <br /> <br /> WBEREAS, it is necessary to the operation of property for such <br /> a purpose, that certain regulations be enacted to govern the use <br /> thereof to prohibit dangerous and undesirable practices and movements <br /> and prescribe penalties for the violation thereof. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DO ORDAIN <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> ~CTION 1: That the City Council of Santa Ann, California may, <br />by Resolution, declare the necessity for the use of parking meters on <br />any perking lot within the Olty of Santa Ana that is municipally owned; <br />may fix and determine traffic patterns for the movement of traffic on <br />'such municipally owne~ perking iota and governing the ingress and <br /> <br /> egress thereto and therefrom, and when said Council regularly passes <br /> and adopts any Resolution for any of said purposes, the same shall <br /> control the use of the area effected thereby. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: It shall be unlawful for any person on any public <br /> perking lot which is municipally owned: <br /> <br /> (a) To enter said parking lot over any area or drive-way <br /> or the portion between any curb-returns which is not <br /> marked with the word "antrence" painted thereon or in <br /> some manner clearly designated for use as an entrance. <br /> <br /> (b) To park, place or rank any vehicle on any portion of <br /> such lot in such a manner as to interferewith or re- <br /> strict ~he freedom of traffic movement between the <br /> areas indicated for perking, or to interfe~with the <br /> free ingress or egress to and from said lot. <br /> <br /> <br />
