Section 2: That Section 6 of said Ordinance No. llS1 is <br />hereby amended by adding a new paragraph to the end thereof which <br />new paragraph shsll read as follows: <br /> <br /> "DEPOSIT FOR SECURITY. The City Council or the City <br /> Clerk, whenever it is deemed necessary to guarantee accounting <br /> for sales tax collected by e retailer, or any holder of a sales <br /> tax permit hereunder, may require such person to make the <br /> posit as herein provided for and every person filing an appli- <br /> cation for a permit as provided for in Rule 6 of this Ordinance, <br /> shall deposit with the City Clerk either a surety bond or cash, <br /> the amount to be determined as follows: (A) One-sixth of the <br /> ~unount deposited with the State under the requirements of Sec- <br /> tion 6701 of the Revenue and Taxation Code to the nearest five <br /> dollars so that the amount deposited shall always be in multi- <br /> ples of five dollars (B) The minimum deposit hereunder shall <br /> be ten dollars (C) If no deposit has been required by the State, <br /> then the formula set forth in said Oection 6701 shall be used to <br /> compute the amount of the deposit which shall be to the nearest <br /> five dollars." <br /> <br />Section 3: This Ordinance shall take effect July 1st, 1950. <br />Section 4: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of <br />this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published in three <br />consecutive issues of the ~anta Aha Independent, a newspaper print- <br /> <br />ed, published and circulated in the Oity of <br />designated for that purpose. <br /> <br /> PASSED A~O ADOPTED by the 0ouncil of <br /> <br />at its ~egular <br />195o. <br /> <br />ATTEST:~ -City Clerk <br /> <br />~anta Aha, and hereby <br /> <br /> the City of Oanta Aha <br />meeting meld on the ~ day of Nay <br /> <br /> <br />
