ORDINANCE NO. 1313 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2, ARTICLE III OF THE CODE <br /> OF RULES ANDREG~LATIONS ESTABLISHING FIRE PREVENTIVE <br /> MEASURES ADOPTED BY CITY ORDINANCE NUMBER 864 <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: That Section 2 of Article I of the Code of <br /> <br />Rules and Regulations adopted by City Ordinance Number 864 entitled <br />"AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THE RULES AND REGULATIONS REGULATING THE <br />HANDLING, ~PING, STORING, TRANSPORTING AND USE OF INFLAMMABLE LI- <br />qUIDS IN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, AND PROVIDING OTHER FIRE PREVENTIVE <br />~EASURES IN SAID CITY; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH <br />AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF SAID ORDINANCE" be and <br />the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "Section 2: It shall be unlawTul for any person, firm <br /> <br /> or corporation, owner or lessee to burn rubbish, waste paper, <br /> rags, excelsior, straw, grass, weeds or any other combustible or <br /> lnflsmmable material within the corporate limits of the City of <br /> Santa Aha, at any other time than between the hours of six <br /> o'clock A.M. and twelve o'clock Noon of the same day and then <br /> only at a distanoe of fifteen feet or more from any building or <br /> other combustible structure, excepting where fire is confined <br /> in an approved incinerator and then at a distance of at least <br /> three feet from any inflammable structure. The Chief Engineer <br /> or his authorized representative may, in his discretion, issue a <br /> special permit extending the hours of burning herein set out under <br /> such conditions as he may deem necessary. When such a permit has <br /> been issued the holder thereof may burn combustible material during <br /> the hours in such permit allowed and under the conditions in such <br /> permit specified and any violation of the hours or conditions in <br /> such permit contained shall be deemed a violation of Section 2 of <br /> said Ordinance No. 864 and subject the person guilty thereof to <br /> the penalty set forth in said Section 2 of said 0rdinanoe." <br /> <br /> <br />
