COMMISSION AND GRANTING A VARIANCE ON VARIANCE <br />APPLICATION NO. 1657 FILED BY L. L. CONKLE <br />SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, after hearing on notice, the Planning Co~nission <br />denied Variance Application No. 1657, filed by L. L. CONKLE to <br />construct, operate and maintain a gasoline station in the A-1 <br />District; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Appeal Application No. 67 was duly filed by L. L. <br />and JUANITA CONKLE requesting a hearing on said Variance Application <br />No. 1657 before the City Council and appealing the denial of said <br />variance by the Planning Commission; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council, after public hearing on notice, <br />has determined that the Planning Commission should be overruled and <br />that said variance should be granted subject to conditions. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby <br />grants a variance on Variance Application No. 1657 for property <br />located at the Northeast corner of Euclid Street and MacFadden Avenue <br />in the city of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of California, <br />described as: <br /> <br /> The Southerly 192 feet of the Westerly 202 feet <br /> of the Northwest quarter of Section 16, Township 5 <br /> South, Range 10 West, in the Rancho Las Bolsas, <br /> city of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of <br /> California, as per map recorded in Book 51, Page 12 <br /> of Miscellaneous Maps, in the office of the County <br /> Recorder of said County, <br /> <br />in an R-4 District (said property has been rezoned from the A-1 <br />District to the R-4 District since the filing of said Variance <br />Application) to allow for the construction, operation and maintenance <br />of a gasoline station. Said Variance is granted subject to conditions <br />as follows: <br /> <br />The following conditions are to be complied with prior to the issuance <br />of a building permit: <br /> <br /> 1. That the subdivider's engineer furnish the Department of <br /> Public Works a run-off study based on a storm of a ten year <br /> frequency.
