RESOLUTION NO. 62-219 AUTHORIZING C0ND~NATION <br />OF REAL PROPERTY FOR RESERVOIR AND WWJ.T. SITE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City is now in the process of expanding, enlarging and <br /> <br />improving its system of water works, storage and supply within the limits of <br /> <br />Santa Ana and has immediate need for a reservoir site on the property herein <br /> <br />described. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of <br /> <br />Santa Ana hereby finds and determines that the public necessity and interest <br /> <br />require that certain parcel of land herein described be acquired as a reservoir <br /> <br />site and for appurtenant water works installations, including pipes, valves and <br /> <br />well, to provide for the rapidly increasing demand for domestic water; and <br /> <br />further require that the City do have, take and acquire in fee simple for said <br /> <br />purpose that certain land in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of <br /> <br />California, described as: <br /> <br />That portion of the Northeast one-quarter of Lot 14 in <br />Block "D" of the A. B. Chapman Tract as surveyed by Frank <br />L. Lecouvreur in 1870 and shown on a map recorded in Book <br />102, Page 15 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of said Orange <br />County, described as follows: <br /> <br />Beginnin~ at a point on the center line of Cambridge Street, <br />said point being North 0O 55' ~l" East 787.98 feet from the <br />intersection of the center line of said Cambridge Street <br />with the center line of Fairhaven Avenue, thence North <br />89° Oh' 19" West 180 feet, thence North O° 55' ~l" East 50.97 <br />feet, thence North 73° 28' 12" East 188.69 feet to a point <br />on the center line of Cambridge Street, which lies North <br />O° 55' h~' East 107.58 feet from the point of beginning; <br />thence South 0° 55' h~' West 107.58 feet along the center <br />line of Cambridge Street to the point of beginning. <br /> <br />E~CEPTING that portion previously dedicated for street. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the public interest, necessity and <br />convenience require, and it is hereby ordered, that the City of Santa Ana, <br />a municipal corporation, take immediate possession and use of the property <br />herein ordered to be acquired upon complying with the requirements of law <br />applicable thereto; that the City Attorney report to the Director of Finance <br />the amount of money required therefore and that the Director of Finance shall <br />deposit said amount with the Clerk of the Court for such possession. <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
