RESOLUTION NO. 63-7 ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF <br />PETITION FOR THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA, DESIGNATING AN APPROPRIATE <br />NAME FOR SAID TERRITORY OF "SUNFLOWER AND FLOWER <br />NORTHWEST ANNEX" AND GIVING NOTICE OF PROTEST <br />HEARING THEREON <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, heretofore the Boundary Commission of Orange County <br />has approved the description of territory hereinbelow contained for <br />the purpose of annexation to the City of Santa Aha, California, and <br />a petition requesting annexation of said territory, signed by the <br />owners of all of said territory, has been presented to the City <br />Council. The Santa Aha Planning Commission has approved the annexa- <br />tion of said territory. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby <br /> <br />declares its intention to annex all of the territory hereinbelow <br /> <br />described under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited <br /> <br />Territory Act of 1939; hereby finds and declares that all of the <br /> <br />owners of said territory have petitioned for annexation to Santa Aha; <br /> <br />that said territory is uninhabited within the meaning of Government <br /> <br />Code Section 35303 on the date of the adoption of this Resolution; <br /> <br />that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Ana, lies in <br /> <br />the County of Orange, State of California, and is described as: <br /> <br />Commencing at the Southwest corner of the Northeast one- <br />quarter of Section 36, Township 5 South, Range 10 West, <br />San Bernardino Base and Meridian, said Southwest corner <br />being on the center line of Sunflower Avenue; thence <br />Westerly along said center line 25.00 feet, more or less, <br />to the Southerly extension of the West line of that certain <br />parcel of land conveyed to the Orange County Flood Control <br />District, recorded in Book 1950, Page 109, Official Records <br />of Orange County, California; thence North 0° 39' 25" East, <br />a distance of 25.00 feet, more or less, to a point on the <br />North line of Sunflower Avenue, said point also being an <br />angle point in the existing boundary of the City of Santa <br />Ana as established by the South Santa Aha Annex No. 5, <br />Ordinance No. N.S. 450; thence North 0° 39' 25" East a <br />distance of 1106.57 feet, along the existing boundary of <br />the City of Santa Aha as established by said South Santa Ana <br />Annex No. 5, and along said West line of said parcel of the <br />Orange County Flood Control District to an angle point in <br />said City boundary and to the true point of beginning; <br />thence, departing from said City boundary, North 0° 39' 25" <br />East, a distance of 3,375.29 feet, along said West line of <br />said parcel of the Orange County Flood Control District; <br />thence, departing from said West line of said parcel of the <br />Orange County Flood Control District North 89° 20' 31" West, <br />a distance of 162.70 feet; thence, South 0~ 39' 25" West, <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
