RESOLUTION NO. 63-23 ACCEPTING DEEDS WHERE THE
<br />CITY IS PAYING A CASH CONSIDERATION
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, DICK A. HORTON, FERN L. HORTON, SHELLEY B. HORTON and
<br />SUSAN B. HORTON have presented to the City a deed dated January 23,
<br />1963, conveying a parcel of real property on the South side of First
<br />Street, West of Hathaway Street, in consideration of the payment of
<br />$15,500.00. Said transaction is to be handled through Escrow No.48948-C
<br />with Security Title Insurance Company, Santa Ana, California; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, DOYETT V. WEBB and AGNES L. WEBB have presented to the
<br />City a deed dated January 22, 1963, conveying a parcel of real property
<br />on the North side of Edinger Avenue, West of Ross Street, in considera-
<br />tion of the payment of $20,000.00. Said transaction is to be handled
<br />through Escrow No. 48861-C with Security Title Insurance Company, Santa
<br />Ana, California; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, DELLA HEASLET has presented to the City a deed dated
<br />January 22, 1963, conveying a parcel of real property on the South side
<br />of First Street, West of Hathaway Street, in consideration of the
<br />payment of $16,500.00. Said transaction is to be handled through
<br />Escrow No. 48947-C with Security Title Insurance Company, Santa Ana,
<br />California; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, BEULAH M. STONE has presented to the City a deed dated
<br />January 22, 1963, conveying a parcel of real property at the Northwest
<br />corner of Hathaway and First Streets, in consideration of the payment
<br />of $18,500.00. Said transaction is to be handled through Escrow
<br />NO. 48946-C with Security Title Insurance Company, Santa Ana,
<br />California; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, REEVES REFRIGERATION COMPANY, a Corporation, has
<br />presented to the City a deed dated January 29, 1963, conveying two
<br />parcels of real property on the North side of First Street, East of
<br />Evergreen Street, in consideration of the payment of $65,100.00. In
<br />addition to the cash payment, the City will also demolish the existing
<br />building and will clean up said lot, including the removal of all
<br />debris, as set forth in the Escrow Instructions. Said transaction is
<br />to be handled through Escrow No. 48979-C with Security Title Insurance
<br />Company, Santa Ana, California.

<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Ana
<br />accepts said deeds and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated agent,
<br />is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said deeds.
<br />
<br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana
<br />at its regular meeting held on the 4th day of February, 1963.
