RESOLUTION NO. 63-33 AUTHORIZING EXECUTION
<br />OF DEED FOR CASH CONSIDERATION AND AMENDMENT
<br />TO ESCROW INSTRUCTIONS WITH THE PACIFIC
<br />TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH COMPANY
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, after published notice of offer to sell on written bids
<br />at the sale date, January 21, 1963, at the regular Council Meeting Of
<br />the City of Santa Ana, one sealed bid was received and opened whereon
<br />it was found that the PACIFIC TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH COMPANY, a
<br />corporation, was the only bidder in the amount of $160,000.00, which
<br />said Company made a deposit of a certified check in the amount of
<br />$20,000.00 to guarantee cc~pletion of its offer to buy; upon call by
<br />the Mayor of oral bids from the audience, no oral bid was received,
<br />and it was regularly moved, seconded and carried that the bid of
<br />THE PACIFIC TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH COMPANY be accepted for sale
<br />through escrow.

<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the sale which was regu-
<br />larly declared as hereinabove set out and which may be completed by
<br />depositing the balance of the purchase price, $140,000.00, through
<br />Escrow No. 344313-ET with the Title Insurance and Trust Company,
<br />Santa Aha, California, is hereby confirmed, and the Mayor and the Clerk
<br />of the Council are hereby directed to execute for and on behalf of the
<br />City amended escrow instructions requiring a certified copy of this
<br />Resolution to be recorded and forwarded to the buyer at close of
<br />escrow, and to execute for and on behalf of the City of Santa Aha a
<br />deed conveying the real property in the City of Santa Aha, County of
<br />Orange, State of California, described as:

<br />Lots 7, 8, 9 and 10 in Block 17 of the "Town of Santa Aha",
<br />in the City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of
<br />California, as per map recorded in Book 2, Page 51 of
<br />Miscellaneous Records, in the office of the County Recorder
<br />of LOS Angeles County, California,
<br />
<br />to THE PACIFIC TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH COMPANY, a corporation, and to
<br />deliver the same through said escrow.
