RESOLUTION 63-93 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA EXPRESSING OPPOSITION TO <br />ASSEMBLY BILL NO. 351 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, after study and consideration of Assembly Bill <br />No. 351, and considering the effect this bill could have upon <br />numerous necessary public projects, it has been determined that <br />said Bill is against the public interest and should be opposed. <br /> <br /> Now, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana expresses its opposition to Assembly Bill <br />No. 351, a bill which would place property owned by a public or <br />private educational institution for future use in education outside <br />the reach of eminent domain; and such educational institutions <br />could then, by the ownership of unimproved land, declare their <br />intention to use it for educational purposes and cause the <br />abandonment, relocation or rerouting of development works for the <br />public benefit. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That this Bill could place a great <br />financial burden upon the tax payers of this State by making <br />necessary projects unduly expensive, or in so~ae cases by prohibiting <br />their establishment, and this City Council urges all members of <br />the California State Legislature to oppose and vote against <br />Assembly Bill No. 351. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Aha at its regular meeting held on the 20th day of May, 1963. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br />SS <br /> <br /> I, DORIS M.
