Hall conducted roll call. <br />Councilmembers Penaloza and Vazquez, and Mayor Amezcua were present via <br />teleconference. Councilmembers Bacerra, Hernandez, and Lopez, and Mayor Pro Tem <br />Phan were present in the Chamber. <br />ADDITIONS\DELETIONS TO CLOSED SESSION <br />MINUTES: None. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS-- Members of the public may address the City Council on Closed <br />Session items. <br />MINUTES: City Clerk Jennifer L. Hall reported out the summary of email comments <br />received: one (1) Closed Session Agenda Item No. 1. <br />The following speakers addressed City Council in -person: <br />1. Carlos Perea spoke regarding Closed Session Agenda Item No. 1. <br />2. Vincent Tran spoke regarding Closed Session Agenda Item No. 1. <br />3. Claudia Morales (translation: Spanish) spoke regarding Closed Session Agenda <br />Item No. 1. <br />4. Apolonio Cortes (translation: Spanish) spoke regarding Closed Session Agenda <br />Item No. 1. <br />RECESS — City Council will recess to Closed Session for the purpose of conducting <br />regular City business. <br />MINUTES: MayorAmezcua recessed to consider the Closed Session items at 4:55 P.M. <br />CLOSED SESSION ITEMS — The Brown Act permits legislative bodies to discuss certain <br />matters without members of the public present. The City Council finds, based on advice <br />from the City Attorney, that discussion in open session of the following matters will <br />prejudice the position of the City in existing and anticipated litigation: <br />CITY COUNCIL 2 JUNE 18, 2024 <br />
