Each workday shall consist of ten (10) hours of work and either a <br /> thirty (30) minute or one (1) hour unpaid meal period. The <br /> determination as to a thirty (30)minute or one(1)hour unpaid meal <br /> period shall be made by the Police Chief or their designee. <br /> e. 207(k) 9/80 Work Schedule. Employees shall work five (5)nine(9) <br /> hour workdays in one(1) seven(7) day period and three(3) nine (9) <br /> hour workdays and one (1) eight (8) hour workday in the second <br /> seven (7) day period, or alternatively three (3) nine (9) hour <br /> workdays and one (1) eight (8) hour workday in the first seven (7) <br /> day span and five (5) nine (9) hour workdays in the second span. <br /> This cycle shall be repeated twice each twenty-eight(28) day FLSA <br /> Work Period. Each nine (9) hour workday shall consist of nine (9) <br /> hours of work and either a thirty(30)minute or one(1)hour unpaid <br /> meal period. The eight (8) hour workday shall consist of eight (8) <br /> hours of work and either a thirty (30)minute or one (1) hour unpaid <br /> meal period. The determination as to a thirty (30) minute or one(1) <br /> hour unpaid meal period shall be made by the Police Chief or their <br /> designee. <br /> f. 207(k)9/81 Work Schedule. Employees shall work eighty-one(81) <br /> hours in a consecutive fourteen (14) day, three hundred thirty-six <br /> (336) hour period. This cycle shall be repeated twice each twenty- <br /> eight (28) day FLSA Work Period. Employees shall work five (5) <br /> nine (9) hour workdays in one (1) seven (7) day span and four (4) <br /> nine(9)hour workdays in the second seven (7)day span. Each nine <br /> (9) hour workday shall consist of nine (9) hours of work and either <br /> a thirty (30) minute or one (1) hour unpaid meal period. While <br /> assigned to the 9/81 schedule, an officer shall earn two (2) hours of <br /> overtime during each twenty-eight (28) day FLSA Work Period, <br /> unless they take leave without pay during the twenty-eight(28)day, <br /> six hundred seventy-two (672) hour period. <br /> 3.3 Meal Periods. Except for those employees assigned to Patrol, other employees who do not <br /> receive a paid meal period whose meal periods are interrupted by the performance of job <br /> related duties, will receive another full, uninterrupted meal period or will be compensated <br /> for their meal period at their overtime rate of pay at time and one-half(1.5) their regular <br /> rate of pay. For purposes of this section,"interrupted"shall mean a significant interruption <br /> of more than a few minutes (de minimis). For employees who receive a one (1)hour lunch <br /> period (half(0.5) of which is paid) overtime compensation shall apply only to the unpaid <br /> half (0.5) hour. Unless exigent circumstances exist beyond the Department's control, <br /> employees assigned to Patrol shall be provided a thirty (30) minute paid meal period. <br /> 3.4 Detective Redeployment. <br /> All employees assigned as detectives (investigators) shall work one (1) day per month in <br /> the patrol function of the Field Operations Bureau pursuant to a schedule as determined by <br /> the Chief of Police or their designee. <br /> 6 <br />
