Chandler. <br />J.L.McBride <br /> <br />Each member of the City Council having received copies of <br />the Minutes cT March 17th and March 31st, 1952, reading of <br />the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of <br />Trustee Jerome, seconded by Hunter and carried. <br /> <br />In Re On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Hunter and carried, <br />Bids <br />Gasoline <br /> <br /> the <br />Clerk was authorized ~o open bids for the furnishing of gasoline, for <br /> <br />one year beginning May 1, 1952 and ending April 30, 1953, as follows: <br /> <br /> Bid of Home 0il Company of Anaheim: Bond in the amount of 10% bid. <br /> Allow a discount of one cent per gallon on tank <br /> wagon deliveries of premium fuel to the various fire <br /> stations. Allow a discount of two cents per gallon <br /> for t~uck and trailer deliveries of regular fuel <br /> delivered to the City yard. The price to the City, <br /> for Flying A Ethyl gasoline would be $.195 per ~allon <br /> and the price of Flying A gasoline would be $.165 per <br /> gallon. Prices are maximum prices for the term of <br /> the contract. Bid includes California State Motor <br />Vehicle Tax of $.055 and excludes Federal excise tax <br /> of $.02. <br /> <br />Bid of Richfield Oil Corporation: Certified check in the <br />amount of $225.00. <br />Seller's applicable posted ex-Federal tax tank wagon <br />price at time and place of delivery, less $.01 per <br />gallon for Hi-Octane and less $.0125 for Ethyl gasolines <br />for tank wagon deliveries, and less $.015 for Hi-Octane <br />and less $.0175 for Ethyl gasolines for truck and trailer <br />deliveries, that the maximum prices payable hereunder will <br />be the prices payable on date hereof as shown on table below: <br />Hi-Octane (tank wagon) $.175. $.17 (truck and trailer) <br />Richfield Ethyl (tank wagon $.1925 $.1875 (truck and trailer) <br /> <br />Bid of Seaside Oil Company (E.H.Merker): Certified check in <br />the amount of $2305.00. <br />Inclusive of State Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax and exclusive of <br />Federal Excise Tax, less a discount of one and 26/lO0ths <br />(1.26~) per gallon. <br />Seaside Ethyl Gasoline 19.~5~ per gallon <br />Seaside Silver Gull Gasoline 17.24~ per gallon. Subject to <br />tax provisions, above prices are maximum for contract period. <br />Additional discount of 0.50~ per gallon will be allowed for <br />all truck and trailer deliveries. <br /> <br />Bid of General Petroleum Corporation: Certified check in the <br />amount of $2500.00. <br /> <br /> <br />
