ANA, DESIGNATING AN APPROPRIATE NAME~R~ SA~ ~-/-~ TERRITORY OF ,IRVINE'S SUBDIVISION ANNEX NO. 1" AND GIVING NOTICE OF PROTEST HEARING THEREON WHEREAS, at the request of property owners in the territory herein described, a description and map of said territory were presented to the Santa Ana Planning C~,u~ission, which approved annexation of said territory, and to the Orange County Boundary Cc~mission, which caused a report to be prepared finding that the map did not agree with Line 7 on Page 1 of the description which showed "Range 9 West", and that Line 27 on Page 2 of said description showed the prefix "NS" had been left out of the ordinance number and that the same should read "Ordinance NS-64!';and that for these reasons the boundaries of said proposed annexationwere not reasonably definite and certain and were returned for correction; and WHEREAS, said corrections have now been made to Line 27, Page 2 of said description and to the map to show "Range 9 West" and to show the book and page where the same is recorded. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby initiates proceedings for annexation of said territory, herein described, to the City of Santa Ana for the following reasons: That the said territory can best be served by the City of Santa Ana with municipal services of the highest quality anywhere obtainable at a cost for such services which is lower than can be obtained anywhere else in the County of Orange; That it is to the mutual advantage of the City and the land owners that said territory become a part of said city. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby declares its intention to annex all of the territory hereinbelow described under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939; hereby finds and declares that said territo~y is uninhabited within the meaning of Government Code Section 35303 on the date of the adoption of this Resolution; and that said territory is contig- uous to the City of Santa Aha, lies in the County of Orange, State of California, and is described as: Beginning at an angle point in the Santa Ana City boundary, established as the Northeast corner of land annexed to Santa Ana by Ordinance No. NS-64, said point being at the inter- section of the center line of Dyer Road with the West line of the Southern Pacific Railroad right of way as conveyed to the Santa Ana Railroad by deed recorded in Book 13, Page 9, Deeds, Records of Orange County, California, said center line of Dyer Road being on the South line of the Northwest Quarter (N.W.%) of Section 30, Township 5 South, Range 9 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian; thence departing from said City boundary North 1° 44' 42" East, 50.00 feet to a line parallel with and distant Northerly 50.00 feet, measured at right angles from said center line of Dyer Road; thence along said parallel line South 88° 15' 18" East, 660 feet, more or less, to an angle point in land conveyed to the state of California by deed recorded in Book 6049, Page 720, Official Records of said Orange County; thence North 66° 11' 53" East, 45.11 feet to a line parallel with and distant Northwesterly 237 feet, measured at right angles, from the Northwest line of Irvine's Subdivision, as shown on a map recorded in
