Communication was read from Oulligan Soft Water Service requesting that a limited parking area, sufficient in length for two passenger automobiles, be established at 116 South Sycamore Street, ~nd on motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Dahl and carried, the request was referred to the Administrator, Engineer and Chief of Police for report. Communication was read from Colonel R.T.Carleson, U.S.Marine Corps, requesting that three parking spaces be reserved for Shore Patrol Government~ vehicles on the south side of West Third Street in the 200 block. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Jerome and oarried,i the Administrator was instructed to contact Colonel Carleson in an effort to work out the various problems involved in g~anting such parking spaces. Communication was read from J. Edgar Hoover, Federal Bureau of Investigation, advising, that Captain Forrest Lee Duke, of the Santa An~ Police D~par~ment, was presented a diploma certifying his graduation from the Forty-ninth Session of the F.B.I. National Academy, and on motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by McBride and carried, the communication was received and filed. # Communications were read from the County Board of Supervisors referenc~ requests of the City for Gas Tax allocation for the improvement of Delhi Road and for certain Flood Control Work. On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by McBride and carried, the Administrator was instructed to --/contact the Board of Supervisors in connection with request for Gas Tax allocation. #
