RESOLUTION 63-177 INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR <br />ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF SANTA <br />ANA, DESIGNATING AN APPROPRIATE NAME FOR SAID <br />TERRITORY OF "SOUTH SANTA ANA ANNEX NO. 6",' <br />GIVING NOTICE OF PROTEST HEARING THEREON AND <br />RESCINDING RESOLUTION 63-152 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at the request of property owners in the territory <br />herein described, a description and map of said territory were pre- <br />sented to the Santa Ana Planning Commission, which approved annexa- <br />tion of said territory, and to the Orange County Boundary Commission, <br />which caused a report to be prepared finding that the boundaries of <br />said proposed annexation are reasonably definite and certain as to <br />Section 35002 of the Government Code. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana hereby initiates proceedings for annexation of <br />said territory, herein described, to the City of Santa Ana for the <br />following reasons: <br /> <br /> 1. That the said territory can best be served by the City <br /> of Santa Ana with municipal services of the highest <br /> quality anywhere obtainable at a cost for such services <br /> which is lower than can be obtained anywhere else in <br /> the County of Orange. <br /> <br /> 2. That it is to the mutual advantage of the City and the <br /> landowners that said territory become a part of said <br /> <br /> city. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: A. That the City Council hereby <br />declares its intention to annex all of the territory hereinbelow <br />described under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited <br />Territory Act of 1939; hereby finds and declares that said territory <br />is uninhabited within the meaning of Government Code Section 35303 <br />on the date of the adoption of this Resolution; that said territory <br />is contiguous to the City of Santa Ana, lies in the County of Orange, <br />State of California, and is described as: <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
