RESOLUTION NO. 63-216 REQUESTING TI~ <br />C0UES~ OF ORANGE TO INCLUDE WITHIN THE ARTERIAL <br />HIGHWAY FINANCING PROGRAM THE DEVELOPMENT OF <br />HARBOR BOULEVARD <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ the City of Santa Ana desires to improve Harbor Boulevard <br /> <br />at Hazard Avenue, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ Harbor Boulevard is an important artery in the County of Orange <br />and of general County interest, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ Article 2 and Article 3, Chapter 9, Division 2 of the Streets <br />and Highways Code authorizes a County~ if it so desires~ to expend funds ap- <br />portioned to it out of the California Highway Users Tax Fund for aid to any <br />City in the improvement, construction or repair of a street within a City, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ the Board of Supervisors intends to, by appropriate action~ <br />provide in the County budget of the Special Road Improvement Fund for the <br />Fiscal Year 1964-65 a sum of money for the improvement of streets within the <br />incorporated cities of the County in accordance with the Orange County Arterial <br />Highway Financing Program. <br /> <br /> NOW~ TREREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby requests the Board of~pervisors of the County of Orange to allocate to <br />said City from County Funds the amount of $7,600.00~ said amount to be matched <br />by funds from said City~ to be used to aid said City in the improvement of <br />Harbor Boulevard at Hazard Avenue~ said improvements to be in accordance with the <br />attached project statement; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of <br />Orange is hereby requested to find that said work on Harbor Boulevard, in the <br />manner provided, is in the general County interest, <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, by this Resolution~ the City of Santa Aha <br />agrees with the basic concepts of the Arterial Highway Financing Program; and <br /> <br />further agrees that its share of the cost of improvements will <br />be available for the Fiscal Year 1964-65. <br /> <br /> <br />
