RESOLUTION NO. 69-224 REQUESTING THE <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE TO INCLUDE WITHIN THE ~RTERIAL <br />HIGHWAY FINANCING PROGRAM THE DEVELOPMENT OF <br />W~G~VE R AVENUE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana desires to improve Warner Avenue from <br /> <br />90 feet west of Flower Street to 70 feet east of Flower Street~ and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ Warner Avenue is an important artery in the County of Orange <br /> <br />and of general County interest, and <br /> <br /> WEEREAS~ Article 2 and Article 3~ Chapter 9, Division 2 of the Streets <br /> <br />and Highways Code authorizes a County, if it so desires, to expend funds apportioned <br />to it out of the California Highway Users Tax Fund for aid to any City in the <br />improvement, construction or repair of a street within a City, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ the Board of Supervisors intends to, by appropriate action, <br />provide in the County budget of the Special Road Improvement Fund for the <br />Fiscal Year 1964-65 a sum of money for the improvement of streets within the <br /> <br />incorporated cities of the County in accordance with the Orange County Arterial <br />Highway Financing Program. <br /> <br /> NOW~ THEREFOEE~ BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Aha <br />hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of the County of OraNge to allocate <br />to said City from County Funds the amount of $7,000.00, said amount to be <br />matched by funds from said City, to be used to aid said City in the improvement <br />of Warner Avenue from 90 feet west of Flower Street to 70 feet east of Flower <br />Street, said improvements to be in accordance with the attached project <br />statement; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of <br />0raD~e is hereby requested to find that said work on Warner Avenue in the <br />manner provided, is in the general County interest. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, by this Resolution, the City of Santa Ana <br />agrees with the basic concepts of the Arterial Highways Financing Program; and <br />further agrees that its share of the cost of improvements <br />be available for the Fiscal Year 1964-65· <br /> <br /> <br />
