RESOLUTION NO. 6q.22~ REQUESTING THE <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE TO INCLUDE WITHIN THE <br />ARTERIAL HIGHWAY FINACING PRO~RAM THE <br />DEVELOPMENT OF EUCLID STREET <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ the City of Ssnta Ana desires to improve Euclid Street from <br />Bolsa Avenue to Hazard Avenue~ and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ Euclid Street is an important artery in the County of Orange <br />and of general County interest~ and <br /> <br /> WH~REAS~ Article 2 and Article 3, Chapter 9~ Division 2 of the Streets and <br />Highways Code authorizes a County, if it so desires, to expend funds apportioned <br />to it out of the California Highway Users Tax F~nd for aid to any City in the <br />Lmprovement~ construction or repair of a street within a City, and <br /> <br /> WEEREAS~ the Board of Supervisors intends to, by appropriate action, <br />provide in the County budget of the Special Road Improvement Fund for the Fiscal <br />Year 1964-65 a sum of money for the improvement of streets within the incorporated <br />cities of the County in accordance with the 0range County Arterial Highway <br />Financing Program. <br /> <br /> NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange to allocate to <br />said City from County Funds the ~uount of $39,000.00, said amount to be matched <br />by funds from said City, to be used to aid said City in the improvement of <br />Euclid Street from Bolsa Avenue to Hazard Avenue~ and for the acquisition of <br />necessary rights of way; said improvements and acquisition of rights of way to be <br />in accordance with the attached project statement; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of <br />Ora~e is hereby requested to find that said work and acquisition of rights of <br />way on Euclid Street~ in the manner provided~ is in the general County interest. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, by this Resolution, the City of Santa Aha <br />agrees with the basic concepts of the Arterial Highways Financing Program; and <br />further agrees that its share of the cost of improvements and rights of way will <br />be available for the Fiscal Year 1964-65. <br /> <br /> <br />
