RESOLUTION NO. 62-228 REQUESTING TRE COLrNTY <br />OF ORANGE TO INCLUDE WITHIN THE ARTERIAL HIGHWAY <br />FINANCING PROGRAM TRE DEVELOPMENT OF FAIRVIEW <br />STREET <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana desires to improve Fairview Street from <br />EdiD~er Avenue to Harvard Street, and <br /> <br /> WH~REAS~ Fairview Street is an important artery in the County of Orange <br />and of general County interest, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ Article 2 and Article 3, Chapter 9~ Division 2 of the Streets <br /> <br />and Highways Code authorizes a County, if it so desires, to expend funds apportioned <br />to it out of the California Highway Users Tax Fund for aid to any City in the <br />improvement, construction or repair of a street within a City, and <br /> <br /> WHEBEAS, the Hoard of Supervisors intends to, by appropriate action, <br />provide in the County budget of the Special Read Improvement Fund for the Fiscal <br />Year 1964-65 a sum of money for the improvement of streets within the incorporated <br />cities of the County in accordance with the Orange County Arterial Highway <br />Financing Program. <br /> <br /> NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Ssnta <br /> <br />Aha hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange to allocate <br />to said City from County Funds the amount of $28,500.00, said amount to be matched <br />by funds from said City, to be used to aid said City in the improvement of <br />Fairview Street from Edinger Avenue to Harvard Street, said improvements to be <br />in accordance with the attached project statement; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of <br />Orange is hereby requested to find that said work on Fairview Street, in the <br />manner provided, is in the general County interest. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, by this Resolution, the City of Santa Aha <br />agrees with the basic concepts of the Arterial Highways Financing Program; and <br />further agrees that its share of the cost of improvements <br />will be available for the Fiscal Year 1964-65. <br /> <br /> <br />
