EXHIBIT 1 <br />2024-25 Orange County Children's Therapeutic Arts Center <br />Youth Employment Program - WIOA Proposal <br />excellent professionals in the fields of Education, Arts, Technology, Health, Psychology, <br />Counseling, Early Childhood Development, Marketing, Business and others. In addition, the <br />youth will gain hands on work experience in these fields, as well as the opportunity to gain <br />insight from these professionals regarding the various career and educational paths that youth <br />are interested in pursuing. <br />K. Specify what types of support your organization will offer youth who are facing challenging <br />obstacles such as family dysfunctions, mental health issues, homelessness, low self-esteem, <br />probation, gang issues, parenting issues, etc. Two years ago, OCCTAC started a Mental <br />Health Clinic and currently operates full-time with mental healthcare funding from the <br />County or Orange, Health Care Services. In addition, we will continue to collaborate with all <br />our previous community partners, including OMID Mental Health Clinic, Pepperdine <br />University, Graduate School of Education and Psychology, California State University, <br />Fullerton and USC, School of Social Work. All 4 institutions refer counseling, psychology and <br />marriage and family therapy interns to OCCTAC, and provide Psychological/ Mental Health <br />Counseling to all our WIOA youth, if needed. Participants can enroll in individual counseling at <br />OCCTAC or in the community. In addition to the psychological counseling provided to youth, <br />all WIOA participants must attend mandatory life skills workshops and trainings on where to <br />obtain additional information and resources in the community. Our Case Mangers will also <br />guide the youth and refer them to these additional community resources and specialists, if <br />needed. Finally, parenting youth will also be able to participate in any of the parenting <br />classes offered at OCCTAC, to help them with parenting issues, educational support etc. and <br />gain assistance in working through all of these challenges. <br />Will your organization offer mental health services or referrals to mental health agencies? <br />As stated above, OCCTAC runs a Mental Health Clinic now, and will continue to offer mental <br />health services to our WIOA youth and family members, as well as refer to our community <br />partners. <br />M. Describe how your organization will provide or refer youth to comprehensive guidance <br />and counseling for drug and alcohol, etc. In partnership with the community services <br />program, we are be able to provide youth with a workshop on drugs and alcohol, and also <br />provide them information recourses, and referrals if needed. <br />10.Workshops: <br />O. Provide information about the following workshops and how or when the workshops <br />will be provided to youth in the program: - All participants will be required to attend <br />Life Skills and Job Skills training that will encompass all of the following components. <br />Youth will be asked to attend mandatory workshops to assist them in their overall <br />achievement in this program, as well as their personal lives. Workshops will be weekly. <br />Starting in September 2023 and ending in July 2024. <br />OCCTAC Training Series: <br />• Financial Literacy: This workshop series will allow WIOA participants to understand the <br />importance of budgeting their money and savings.
