This model project, the Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force (OCHTTF), is <br />designed to leverage the expertise of local service providers and law enforcement to ensure that victims are <br />identified and supported and perpetrators are held accountable. <br />The OCHTTF proposes to implement the Enhanced Collaborative Project through the co -leadership of the <br />Anaheim Police Department (APD) and Waymakers. The purpose is to enhance the multidisciplinary, co - <br />leadership approach to increasing victim identification of all forms of human trafficking, supporting victims with <br />a trauma -informed approach, and seeking justice on their behalf through a victim -centered tens. Project activities <br />include conducting proactive investigations into sex and labor trafficking crimes, prosecuting perpetrators, and <br />providing comprehensive, culturally relevant services to victims of all forms of human trafficking. Project <br />activities will include a diverse set of approaches, informed by a collaboration of key stakeholders including law <br />enforcement, victim services, prosecution, survivors, and the community. Expected outcomes include an increase <br />in the number of total victims identified and served, an increase in the percentage of victims of labor trafficking <br />being served, and an increase in the number of labor trafficking cases being investigated. The geographic area to <br />be served is the entire County of Orange in California, representing 3,155,816 people in an area of 791 square <br />Page: 1 of 22 <br />
