No. 52-96 <br />Abandon loading zones; <br />Establish loading zone; <br />W. 5th St. <br /> <br />Communication was read from the Chamber of Commerce commending the <br />Council and Planning Commission for action taken toward the creation <br />of an industrial zone adjoining the tracks of the Southern Pacific <br />and Santa Fe Railroads, and on motion of T~ustee Hunter, seconded by <br />Jerome and carried, the communication was received and filed. <br />Communication was read from Robert S. Farrar, Principal, Senior High <br />School requesting that boulevard stops be installed at the south end <br />of the campus, namely, at Ross and Camile Streets and at Patton and <br />Camile Streets. On motion of T~ustee Hunter, seconded by Dahl and <br />carried, the request was referred to the Administrator, City Engineer <br />and Chief of Police for report at the next meeting. <br /> <br />Communication was read from A.H.Famularo requesting an ex~ension of <br />thirty working days for the comple'tion of the Maple Street storm sewer <br />and on motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br />request was granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Jerome and carried, Appli- <br />cation No. 33752 of the Pacific Electric Railway Company, for authorit. <br />to adjust and increase its interurban fares, was received and filed. <br />On motion of T~ustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the request <br />of Ou~. Lady of Guadalupe Church that certain streets be closed on the <br />afternoon of December 7th in order to celebrate the annual parade in <br />honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe, was granted. <br /> <br /> On motion ef Trustee McBride, seconded by Dahl and carried, proper <br /> officials were authcri*zed to execute agreement between the City and <br /> Santa Aha Commercial Company providing for the rental, by the contract~ <br /> of one 1947 GMC, la ton, open top, dump truck, when proper figUres <br /> have been inserted in the agreement. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by McBride and carried, proper <br /> officials were authorized to execute Crop Lease b~tween the City of <br /> Santa Ana, member Cities of the Joint Outfall Sewer System and Jack N. <br /> <br /> This being the date set for hearing in the matter of Bertram W. Vogel, <br /> 1506 North Main Street, on revocation of City Sales Tax Pe~t No. <br /> 1093 for non-payment of Sales Tax, the Clerk read communication from <br /> N~. Vogel requesting an extension of time on payment of delinquent <br /> sales tax, and on motion of T~ustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and <br /> carried, the hearing was continued until December 15, 1952. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the follow- <br /> ihg Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution concerning parking limitations <br /> ~ under Ordinance No. 1030" <br /> <br /> abandoning loading zones en the south side of Fifth Street between <br /> Hain and Sycamore Streets, being the east 20 ft. of the west 68 ft., <br /> and the east 25 ft. of the west 155 ft., and establishing a loading <br /> zone on the south side of Fifth Street between Hain and Sycamore <br /> Streets, being the east 45.5 ft. of the west 51.5 ft., was read, con- <br /> sidered, designated Resolution No. 52-96 and passed by the following <br /> <br /> <br />
