<br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the Notice
<br />of Hearing of Application for Adjustment of Claim No. 52-L.A. 131-926,1
<br />of the Industrial Accident Commission on behalf of Johan J. Hansen,
<br />former Fire Marshal,was received and filed.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the demands
<br />as audited by the Finance Committee were approved and Clerk authorized
<br />~o issue warrants for same.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the
<br />notification of the State Board of Equalization of alcoholic beverage
<br />application made by Marvin E. Miller and George W. Upton, Jr. dba
<br />
<br />,U, pton's Dutch Lunch, 415 West 4th Street, was received and filed.
<br />Communication was read from the City Engineer stating that on Novembe~I
<br />14th a traffic count was made at Flower Street and Delhi Road which
<br />showed that 767 cars went through the north one-half of the intersect-
<br />ion between 8 A.M. and 5 P.M., 446 cars went east, through the south
<br />one-half of the intersection which is outside of the City and twelve
<br />pedestrians crossed the intersection travel3ing east and west, and,
<br />in his opinion a 35 mile speed limit is Justified. On motion of
<br />Trustee Dahl, seconded by Hunter and carried, the communication was
<br />l'eceived and filed.

<br />Communication was read from Arthur E. Curran requesting that stop
<br />signs be placed at the intersections of Cypress and Cubbon Streets and.
<br />Orange and Cubbon Streets, and on motion of T~ustee Jerome, seconded
<br />by Hunter and carried, the request was referred to the Administrator,
<br />City Engineer and Chief of Police for report.

<br />On recommendation of the City Engineer and on motion of Trustee
<br />Hunter, seconded by Jerome and carried, the Clerk was authorized to
<br />advertise for bids for the furnishing of lO,O00 feet of 6 inch Cast
<br />Iron Water Pipe, to be Class 150 Bell and Spigot, cement lined,
<br />manufactured in accordance with Federal Specifications WW-P-421 Type I
<br />
<br />or Type II; bids to be opened December 15, 1952.

<br />On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the
<br />application of Troy Boyd, Jr. to d~ive taxicabs, was received and
<br />
<br />permit granted.

<br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Dahl and carried, the
<br />request of Robbins-Henderson-Ltd. for permission to install signs
<br />
<br />showing the. address of the National Automobile Club, 313 West 17th St.m,
<br />
<br />which proposed locations are between curb and sidewalk at the five
<br />main entrances to the City, was referred to the City Engineer and
<br />Attorney with power to act.

<br />On motion of T~ustee Dahl, seconded by McBride and carried, the claim
<br />of the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company for damage to 6 feet
<br />of their single tile duct and $00-pair, 2S-gauge alpeth cable, on the
